The FBI is on the case, that is a warning to any contractor who travels around for work. If you dont have a local bs license then they are gonna say you are a scammer to act as thou they are catching the real crooks.
See, the problem is that when you've got these guys paving your driveway, you have to make sure that they can't hear any music while they're paving. Because if anyone nearby has a radio turned up loud enough and the Rolling Stones can be heard playing "Paint It Black", then that's gonna be the problem right there
Also, the homeowner needs to position himself nearby but out of sight, listening to the pavers speak. "Red flag" speech to look for is "roll the joint" "burn the joint" "hit the joint"
"match a joint", "burn rock", "back it up", "hit it hot", "poke it", "vibe it", "get it good n tight", "compact it"
"how much you got"? "5 inches", "you're too thick", "get some oil on it", "fill in the hole", "how much lip you got"? "you better go down", "get it up", "lay it hot", "dump a hot load"
Asphalt paving is just inherently a little on the dark side... it's even black, to top it off
But don't go suspecting asphalt guys of things. Go after hookers... they're usually hot, black & stinky

If the asphalt was bad, it wasn't the fault of the pavers. It was the fault of the asphalt plant. It takes more work to goof up a paving job then it does to do it right. So why would pavers go out of their way to ruin their work?
They should have opend up there yellow pages and let some of there local scammers charge them 18000 instead of 7000 to do it right he got he's moneys worth tight wat they never tell the whole story that the local aspaht plant wont give them good asphalt couse they do it cheaper than the local guys that charge double
