Photoshop Technique for Manga/Comics ("Miki Falls")

In the end there, you deleted the background from "copied Miki", to get the sharp edges to dissapear. Instead of doing that you should just blur(use the blur tool) the edges til they dissapear.

If you do it that way, you don't have too nitpick around the corners. And you dont have to delete anything.

An instead of copying the part of Miki, and stretching it you should use the clone tool on her jacket and leave out the backpack-strap. That way the pictures won't differ and no bad-pixels.

I think like 6 months ago He was having sound problems every time he up loaded a video AND then after he fixs that some more of hes videos went mute. I went back to one of hes videos and told hem there was no sound and a few months later he fixs it. ( He gets so muchs pms SO it may take hem some time to read yours)

As for this technique... It is far from the best way of doing it. In my opinion, you should create a quick selection of miki, drag her into a new document, erase the pieces you don't want, expand the image downward using brushes, and then simply paste her behind Hiro in the layers. That way you can eliminate all the time wasted selecting this and that and the other thing using lasso.

Hmm... I don't think I've ever seen this technique. Personally, I would have copied Miki, then selected the white space. You inversed;; which confused me a bit, but I would have just kept it selected on the white area and pasted. Im not sure about Photoshop, but GIMP only pastes in the selected area. IDK... my opinion thought it might help :P

I like the "Patch" advice tho! Very nice. I'm going to use that soon ^_____^

i use photoshop for my art too^^. wouldn't it have been easier to have just draw miki to the bottom of the panel and just make hiro on layers above, and that way miki would already stretch to the bottom of the panel and therefore already fit behind hiro?

You can also use "Copy Merged" (Ctrl+Shift+C for PC, can't remember the MAC hotkey)which allowes you to copy from all visible layers without needing to collapse or merge them first.

But I disagree that Macs are better. It's all preference. Granted Macs are more stable and less succeptable to attakcs, it's because more people use Windows. If more people used Macs, more hackers would float that way.

i don't get why you go through all the trouble of selecting and de-selecting the image of miki when you can make a group folder in the layers panel. put all the parts of miki in that group folder then use cmd+j or cntrl+j to duplicate the miki layer. and you can just move the order of the layers to put her "behind" hiro.

Oh and actually you dont have to do all that complicated stuff that you were saying about merging and unmerging the layers you get the exact same effect with CRTL+SHIFT+C That copies all the layers at once then you hit CTRL+V and that pastes what you just copied.
