  • I have finger loomed a scarf

  • thank you

  • Thanx! I can't believe that I've been wrapping yarn around each peg like the first row! This really helps.

  • lol, i love your laugh when you're string came off. i'm only watching for fun, its neat to see what else you can make with different styles or techniques.

  • Thank you so much for your loom knitting tutorials. Very helpful.

  • Thank you so much for a great video! My daughter and I love learning how to do new crafts and have watched several videos on youtube for circle loom knitting and yours is the most helpful! You explain things really well! Keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing more great tuts from you!

  • can you make a scarf with what you just showed us?? i am trying but my stiches are so loose it looks really bad :(

  • I asked Sandy Claws to offer this to my oldest niece aged 8 and I've already spent a good part of the afternoon trying to knit unsuccessfully. Akward! I thought a 6+ marked on the box meant it was something easy to do, so thanks for your video.

  • The kit I got came with instructions which was good but your videos were so much more informative.

  • I really like your video Mike. I started looming a few months ago. I

  • Thanks for the tutorial. I tried the loom once, but thought I had to wrap every row. It took forever, and wasn't any fun. Thanks for showing the correct way. I'm ready to pick up the loom again!

  • thanks so much!

about a year ago I spent a week straight stuck in bed because of a terrible headcold -I loomed every day and made a ton of hats for my girlfriends, can't believe I forgot how to do this, I was so dissapointed when I couldn't remember so thanks so much for posting! :)

    xoxo

  • ahhhhh, thank you so much for this video! I crochet, but had never used a loom before. Already have 3 rows done! I too am making a gay pride hat (to support my moms for a gathering in Cinci!)

  • I just got my looms to give it a shot. I believe I can do it based on what I saw in your video. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. Good staging, lighting, and pleasant voice.

  • I was reading the transcribed version of this video and at 5:00 the words heard "and move this string to the inside cps t-shirt religious crapped out"... fantastic. ;)

  • Can u pez tell me were you can buy the looms

  • @godla26 you can buy looms at your local craft stores or online.....chanel @ mikeys helpdesk

  • This was so helpful! Thank you! I just bought my loom set, but when I got it home, I realized the instruction booklet was not with it :( I read some instructions on line and had watched another video, but the way you present it is so clear and logical and fun! Thanks, again!

  • You must be left-handed. I learned how to wrap the other way around using my right hand.

  • @drspear98 no I am right handed.

  • @drspear98 actually mikey's a righty.....maybe he just learned different than you??

    chanel@ mikeys helpdesk :)

  • slip knot dude dont wrap it around

  • i would like to see how to do a purl stitch

  • so you don't warp it around every time. i was seeing your last step you were not warping

  • I am wanting to make a Beret on my loom but can't find a video to help me understand how to do this. Have you made a Beret on the loom ...if so please post a video on here so I can figure out how to do this Beret project of mine. Thanks so much!

  • I wrap the yarn clockwise, is that okay?

  • My daughter and I watched a couple of your videos tonight and then tried to replicate what you did without much success! Mine was waaaay too tight after going around about 5-6 times and hers was just a mess but hey, she's only 8. My question is...per the directions that came with the Knifty Knitter, it says to keep looping them around each time like you did in the beginning and I noticed you said just lay the yarn over on the 3rd go and pull the bottom one over. What's the difference?

  • This helped a TON. Thank you!!

(Also, did you say you were making a "gay pride colors hat"? That's awesome :D <3 )

  • Thanks boo. Never had an interest but m's has these on sale today as there daily deal....

  • ;O this helped alot! Thank you!

p.s. It woul help if you tie the yarn thats on the outside of the peg using a slip knot, that way it doesn't unravel.

  • We just got a brand new joann's here and the grand opening is tomorrow. I have been watching you videos on loom knitting and have decided to buy one. I am actually going to go to the store and wait in front for 30 minutes until they open. I am really interested in how good I will be at this and how much better my finished priduct will turn out.

  • 1.40 best laugh ever.

  • God! i don't know if i should hate you or love you to death!! I never saw a loom like those and now,i'm completely "hooked" to the idea of having and ,of course, abusing one. Unfortunately i have never seen looms in my country before and there's a 90% chance i won't find any :( But my god, even if i don't find one, i'm going to make one! Oh, btw, what's the distance between the pegs? Also, i've been watching your videos for hours and i can't get enough of all the great stuff you have! Thank you!!

  • I've been taught to pull it with the tool the same way around.

  • Do you have a video on how to do a flat scarf on a round loom??? I can't figure out how to do it!

  • I was looking for a video that my friend could watch to make sure she was loom knitting properly. This is not a video I want her to see. During the wrapping of the pegs, the loom is held awkwardly and in a manner that make it's slow.

  • Would you be able to enlighten me on how it should be wrapped. I understand this to be th e Twisted Knit Stitch. I would really love it if you would share how you would do it differently?

  • @tiedye2001 He even says "this is the 5th or 6th time I've wrapped a loom"

  • THANK YOU . I LEARNED A LOT .

  • How do you do a ribbed stich on a round loom? I want to get a round loom and make some leg warmers but want to do a ribbed stich at the top and bottom of them to hold them up some. cant seem to find a video on how to do a ribbed stich though.

  • amazingggggg thank you :D

  • I'm glad this has helped ya! :) MKL

  • this is something completely new to me. i am a loom virgin lols. so tell me how many types of loom wheels are out there?? i did some search online and i was surprised to see the various shapes and sizes they have out there. i am also wondering what are these different looms are for ?? like what can we make from them?

  • There are many sizes and shapes... eseentially most are the same... it will produce the same shape if you use a rectangle verses a circle... The neat things is that you can use a partial of it to make flat knitting stuff like placements, scarfs and so much more!

The size and distance of the peg does determine the gauge of it ... the fatter the pegs and further distance makes the knitting more sparse... small pegs and close together make your knitting tight.

  • It's good that you're teaching this for those of your fans who would like to learn. I'm just not going to take this on right now. :)

  • Okay Lol sorry about all the post. :)

  • I am glad you are learning this cause I know you will figure out a better stitch in the future. I don't like the material I obtain on them though.

  • Now that you are learning this maybe you will come up with some stitches and patterns I like. I own one but don't use it much cause I don't like the material I get. Hope you learn some stitches I don't know for it.

  • I would recommend use a slip knot on the button part you will find when you really get going with this loom it will unravel least until you have to remove it as you go along.

  • I have used all size looms like this and they had a hexagon kit out at one time I have taught several people to use this also I have made lots of hats mats rug coasters and placemats too. It is a fun fast thing once you get the knack of it.

  • why don't you do some tutorials then???

  • if you dont have the money to buy a loom you could always make one out of those throw away containers. Just need a maker and sissors.
