  • These are pre-flood artifacts. They have been found in places like coal seams. Remember that these sedimentary layers were layed down quickly (geologically speaking) during the flood...everything would have been buried. The indians that created the mound obviously found it and recognized it as being special, then buried it in a special way. Multi-strata fossils are also very interesting for the same reason. They show that these layers were layed down very quickly :)

  • @MrAnguswangus How could the ten commandments be pre-flood? Moses was way after Noah moron.

  • @12488jacob Are you kidding me? Me, a moron? Where did I mention Moses or Noah? I was talking geology you idiot! Lay off the heavy drugs you troll.

  • @12488jacob First, the Hebrew language existed prior to Moses. Second, who says this stupid stone is genuine?...you I suppose? Remember, idiotic stories of geologic finds similar to this one surfaced at about the same time...the mormon church foundations come to mind...lol. Be careful with the propaganda out there.

  • Doesn't this mean that in Colbren(?) Semetics you wouldn't say Moses, you'd say Mosiah. In other words Mosiah is Moses in Colbren? Just like Peter is Piotr in Russian, or John is Joao in Portuguese? I get the feeling that this guy is purposely vague.

  • Mayans are no longer the book of mormon peoples as touted. Mesoamerican model is defunct with DNA evidence. Camorah, Zarahemla, the land of first inheritance is in the east. All the Hard evidences of mesoamerica are at odds with this book of mormon heart land geographical model. Mormon evidence is in two minds , ones lost, while the other one is looking for it.

  • There will always be those who will try to refute evidence of truth no matter what form or shape it takes because that is the way of the Adversary. As history has shown, he will do whatever it takes to make sure that the truth is obscured in an attempt to thwart God's plan for mankind. Ultimately, he will fail.

  • @cammon88, he didn't make it. He just proposes it as evidence for the BOM. Why don't you throw up the kinderhook plates and the Book of Abraham along with all this fake hopewell stuff. The fact is that this guy is deceiving people and I have no problem pointing that out. You need to do a little research, think for yourself, and get a clue.

  • @alastairschlegel : Fake Hopewell stuff? Maybe you should sit and talk to the Hopewell aka Shawnee, even the Cherokee, for we know our history. The Dec. stone is real, not a fake, the keystone also goes w/ it. Serpent Mound is the moon calendar of YHWH. Cherokee DNA already proven to be Hebrew Israelite, Cherokee language is a mimic of older Hebrew. Even their name, Cherokee = Tsalagi = Kit'Yowah (various spellings), "those from Creator YHWH". Shawnee, Cherokee are of the Tribe of Gad.

  • @MinisterQuietBuck: I notice you've dedicated a good deal of your time and life to this idea, so I don't want to insult you or hurt your feelings. Having said that, don't you think this professor should mention that the Newark stones were written in post exilic Hebrew--not pre-exilic Hebrew? It's evidence of anachronism and counterfeit. If the professor were honest, he would present all the problems that exist with the Newark stones together with opinions from credible archaeologists.

  • @alastairschlegel: No one man is 100% correct, for we are all human and all error. That being said, do you know the Hopi hold the same stone? As well as a tribe in S.America? Do you know the Shawnee speak of this stone and how it came to be? Do you understand the Shawnee are part Hopewell, part Mayan soldiers/slaves and another tribe? (I think Dan) Do you understand the Seal of Tecumseh plays into this? Or how the stories from the Cherokee match all of this? Or the Royal Shawnee aka Powhatan's.

  • @alastairschlegel: con't. just because he makes an error is not reason to toss the article out. If that was the case then scripture would be tossed but in Jer 8:8 we are told a lying pen entered. 2Tim 2:15 instructs us how to get past this lie. There is much more than just this stone, so to claim its fake, what about the other artifacts and the mounds themselves? I myself am not a Mormon nor agree w/ a lot of what they say. But my studies show Cherokee, Shawnee & Powhatan at least were of Gad.

  • @MinisterQuietBuck Because of my Mormon faith, I've spent years trying to find evidence connecting Native Americans to Israel, but the evidence always ends up being counterfeit or very tenuous at best. As soon as the Hopewell stones are drawn into question, the conversation immediately turns to some other supposed evidence. When that evidence is proven counterfeit, another is brought up. Follow this chain of counterfeits to the end; there is no connection.

  • @alastairschlegel even native indians don't believe they are jewish lol why don't you get to the real God he doesn't believe the book of mormon....

  • @alastairschlegel How is this counterfeit?

  • @MinisterQuietBuck if your not of the tribe of Jesus Christ as Lord it won't do you any good to be related to Gad my friend...as the bible says no man cometh to the Father YHWH but by the Son...not by Gad...I could care less if I am of the lost tribe of Israel if there is any such thing....

  • @lucy9359: Tribe of Jesus Christ? Please show me that passage, for there is no tribe. Jesus is a false name, Messiah told you his name in Jn 5:43. Lord is a name for Ba'al, please read Ex 23:13. Gad is one of the 12 tribes of Israel, you have read scripture correct? Yes, no one comes to YHWH but by the son, and who is the son? The Living Word. Meaning one must follow SCRIPTURE to get to YHWH. Not follow an idol, a man, Rom1-19-23. You care less to be a child of YHWH's? That is sad.

  • This guy is so dishonest. This has been proven a fraud, but he presents it as if it were authentic to people who don't know. The text is written in post-exilic Hebrew so it's an anachronism. This guy is dishonest. He even mischaracterizes the reasons why it's been discredited.

  • @alastairschlegel I'm sure thay he spent the time to make a fake stone....There are many decologue stones not just one they have turned up all over America. There was one on Glen bect just a week or so ago He showed the same thing this guy did. If you dont have something to add worth while then go away and cry in your closet about it dont rant and rave here

  • Any carbon dating on this one? This sounds like all the hopewell artifacts thrown aside as fakes because they didn't fit into the established narrative.

  • Why wouldn't this fit into the nephite era. certainly they can carbon date it that would only tell you how old the rock was though wouldn't it

  • I heard that another one of these was found in the mid east and was dated from the time when Lehi left Jerusalem within the last couple of years. I need to track down the documentation. That would be interesting to read more about.

  • If you find it please let me know

  • @cammon88 Couldn't they date the oxidation that took place on top of the inscribed parts of the stone?
