Omfg James nearly made me die. I feel for him so much since his food poisoning incident. That minute starting at 4:00 made me realise that nobody who could ever replace him in Dream Theater. His voice is just astonishing- gave me goosebumps. I love Dream Theater so much.

for me petrucci has best tones when he was with his ibanez i dunno mybe its becuz he improved his sounds too much or mybe ibanez fits him really well, i noticed after comparing unversal mind with DT after jp comes with EBMM.. well its just my opinion :)

I love Ibanez's and own one myself......but i have to disagree with what you're saying i think. The guitars he plays now seem to have a chunkier sound which i prefer over this sound. May just be me though :)

@Holdsyfan Actually guys he has a video talking about why. Music man is more versatile and suited for dt's style of play. And the built in peizo allows him to sound like he's playing acoustic. So he doesn't have to switch guitars on songs like "Through her eyes". idt jp would switch his sound for the money, the man is an artist.
