Actually, it's apparently not that kid b/c when the contest went on ppl had the choice of picking the original song or the new song they were going to use for the new season..so all they had to do was create a video or wtvr... there were ppl who thought this kid came up with the song on her own or something thats why some ppl were confused :)

This video cost about 20$ to make. Money has absolutely nothing to do with it. If she wasnt good enough, she wouldn't have made the finals. The-N picked her video [FORU TIMES IN A ROW] because her video was better than a lot of other peoples'. & FYI, Melinda filmed, and edited this all by her self. She worked her ASS off every day after school to buy that microphone. Maybe if you worked hard [and had talent like her], you'd be wining too. Do you see anybody else whining?
