  • Changes is one of a few songs with progressive attitude inside 90125, cause Leave it and Owner of a lonely heart are more mainstream in comparison, but nevermind!

  • Yes and Rush 4ever

  • yes.... changes

  • they look like spinal fucking tap... good song though

  • Influenciaram o mundo todo...

  • Turn the compressor off please!

  • I personally prefer Howe as guitarist, but i personally love how much Yes has to offer in variation! Everything from Fragile to 90125 and beyond. This song is just epic, and it is more modern in a way, but it has that unique yes touch to it, and everything that counts is that the band-members themselves has a good time playing the music

  • great yeah

  • 90125 is fucking top album

  • Graham Bonnet @0:10

  • is that john anderson?

  • great song !!!

  • immer wieder hammergeil!

  • here i would say that yes were a "normal" band... which is ok, but not for me. By my standards Abnormal is good.

  • Yes, una maravillosa banda, changes, love will... etc, tantas canciones extraordinarias

  • I LOVE TREVOR RABIN

  • I think the famous part of Yes is in the new wave time. It's what I think!

  • the drummer looks like he has a huge package, check out his pouch at 1 minute 13

  • WHICH OTHER BAND WITHOUT ANYONE MEMBERS THAT MADE YOUR OWNER HISTORY SONG , AINT THE SAME BAND !!!!

  • great song of the 80's !!!

  • ..................I like it! The song is good, the guitarist is great, but he's not Steve Howe!

...........his style does suit YES though, the best YES in my opinion is Albums 'YES' 'FRAGILE' 'CLOSE TO THE EDGE' 'TALES FROM TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS'........

    .......classic YES

Qué show!!

  • This song has Trevor Rabin written all over it. Why, he brought this song to the band. All hail the Johannesburg genius.

  • Great song!! IMHO Rabin brought direction to the wonderful chaos that is Yes, yet it is still unmistakeably Yes. Love it.

  • Great, but has anyone seen this written out on paper? How many beats in a bar before it settles down to four?

  • @crc126 I reckon we got 34 beats completing the entire phrase. I haven't seen it written but my guess would be 8/8, 6/8 (first part) 8/8, 6/8, 6/8 (second part) repeat to Trevor. This is probably nonsense but I'm going with it coz it's a question that's been bothering me for about 26 years.

  • @srssll yes it seems to be a repeated sequence of 5 groups of 4 notes played Straight Swung Straight Swung Swung. in very fast even beats of 8+6+8+6+6 = 34 (1&2&3&4&, 1&3 2&3, 1&2&3&4&, 1&3 2&3, 1&3 2&3, where "&" is silent). Can anyone confirm/amend?

  • @crc126 If you can find an old copy of "The Best Of Modern Drummer: Rock", Michael Bettine (the guy who also did the transcribing for Bill Bruford's "When In Doubt, Roll)...well, on pg 76, he has 7/8, 10/8 (repeat these 2 bars 6 times), two bars of rest (7/8, 10/8), drum fill goes in 7/8, 10/8, then 3 repeats of the original 7/8,10/8 rhythm, and finally a 7/8 PLUS a 6/8 bar (the bar just before you crash and then go into 4/4) So a total of 24 bars of alternating odd time before it evens out.

  • @crc126 in other words, Rhythm (not swung) 7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8

    Rest 7/8,10/8

    Fill 7/8,10/8

    Back to rhythm 7/8,10,8,7/8,10/8,7/8,10/8,7/8,6/8.

lol, yeah it fooled me until I got a hold of a copy. :-D

  • @crc126 I Reckon we got 34 beats completing the phrase, thus: 8/8, 6/8 (first part) 8/8, 6/8, 6/8 (second part) repeat to Trevor. This is prboably nonsense but it is a question that's benn bothering me on and off for 26 years so I just had a go at it. It is not 15 to the bar as some nefarious tabsites will have you believe.

  • No Howe, no Anderson... no yes! It's good but not yes!

  • @flobil2005 Anderson is singing alternately with Trevor.

  • @sweetnothing1977 Il looks tha the Spirit of Yes is spreading... It's not bad at all! But for me YES, the best Yes, is(was) with Anderson, Howe, Wakeman, Squire & Alan White/Bill Brufford.

  • @flobil2005 You are not right. Its only in the beginning That Anderson does not sing. The same on the album. But he participates!

  • I know them, but i don't knew the music then play.... very awesome... GOD!

  • unfortunately..most of you didnt grow up in this part of life....you missed some cool shit...........yes steve was great, but trever made it real good..........all the best.....

  • Como dizia o filosofo - paunocudequemtalendo

  • music forever

  • Why does it have to be either/or?

BOTH versions of YES rocked my socks off!

To anyone that doesn't like one or the other simply doesn't like Yes.

Rabin and Howe are both musical geniuses!

  • 14luisalonso, if you like Drama, then you should have a listen to the Buggles albums..

the 2nd album (they only did 2), 'adventures in modern recording', has the original version of 'into the lens' on it (it's called i am a camera).

it's obviously less proggy & more poppy, but they are both interesting albums... :-)

  • yes, he certainly is!

  • hey anyone know what time signature that is before it goes into the 4/4 and rabins solo at around 2mins?

  • @fullaflash

    17/8 or a bar of 7/8 followed by a bar of 5/4

  • just heard them in denmark like 6 months ago .. was fucking epic even though the guitarist looked like a waken corpse but they played mentally nice.

  • Wahnsinnslied, Danke!

  • if u love AOR music like this check these AMAZING NEW BANDS

    WORK OF ART myspace musicofworkofart

  • This is the second song I have heard from these guys. I love progressive rock/metal. Seems like these guys were the pioneers!

  • do you like it?

    YES,a lot ;)

  • Absolutely -> I love it!! :)

  • Trevor Rabin is really good, but none can surpass the feeling of Steve Howe playing.

  • nice band... I lke the progressive music. Yes and Saga forever.

  • @189396ac

Saga?! - have a thumbs up for recalling this great multi-talented band! :)

  • @skiinscubaout Saga's "World's Apart" album is an old time favorite. I saw Saga back in the mid 80's open up for the cornball Eddie Money. As soon as Saga was done...I left. Of all the concerts I've been to, that was to only one I went to just see the opening act. If Saga were opening up for Yes...there's no way in hell I'd be going anywhere.

  • for me yes ain't yes without steve howe..

please don't send me loads of offensive emails, it's just my opinion...

  • @brushuk OK, but Trevor Rabin is an excelent gutarist too...

  • @brushuk I agree with you...100%

  • @brushuk right. first time i heard yes it was this album and big generator. Rabin is great but later i would discover Howe and turn into a lifetime fan.. same way my favorite album is 'drama' tho i love jon's singing, i found out only later that he is not there... can go on forever... loved the buggles's hit "video killed the radio star" only to connect dots later... i believed XYZ existed and was going to find their LP one day... good times when u had to hunt down albums..

  • @brushuk and rick?? did you forget?? - forget

yes is not a band it´s a project, so be glad for the yes project give has this unique moments and have this gifted persons all the time they get together

  • @micasaveiro

only my opinion... but when i got into yes in the 70's they were a band.

these days some people may consider it a project with the changing line ups..

    whatever. it's not really important.

    each to his/her own.

  • @brushuk

even in the 70 they had parallel projects of they won, john, rick, so on.

  • @brushuk I tend to agree and a certain Mr Dean on album cover.

  • @brushuk I tend to agree and a certain Mr Dean on album cover. IOt's still a great tune though.

  • @brushuk I tend to agree, and the perfect line up had a certain Mr Dean on album cover. It's still a great tune though.

  • @brushuk I agree

  • @brushuk Maybe it ain't Yes... But even if they're a "Maybe" they sound awesome.

  • @brushuk Steve Hown are in Yes today

  • @sebua2025 good observation

  • @sebua2025 Steve Howe, not Hown ;-) YES is great group, Squire, Wakeman, Anderson, that is good combination super instrumentalists and vocalists.

  • who wants to live forever? yes is the meaning...

  • eles vieram ao rock in rio,1985 e eu perdi o show..no money! o ingresso era muito caro..

  • I live by this song!!! Yes makes any change in life better....Yah!!!

  • ise beatles qoniat mosmenili, aba vin ras tsarmoidgenda :)))

  • I like "YES" ♪

  • one of my fabs with Trevor Rabin

  • YES they are!!!!

  • Mayor Progressive Band ....and TUNATION! Yeah!

  • Trevor Rabin God

  • this is SO YES!!!

  • This is SO 80's .

  • awesome!

  • What on earth are these people wearing

  • eighties...

  • it was the 80's....

  • to jest to na czym się wychowałam. Super muza

  • best on the album for me

  • the first time I listen to yes and I feel like a real noob sorry lol

  • the first time I sliced your face and it felt great !!!

  • wich album please???????, any other yes album like these of melodic prog rock thanks

  • great song

  • are both steve howe and jon anderson there?

  • jon is here steve I dont see him its trevor rabin

  • Yes and Marillion goes two steps foward in Prog Rock bands ever.

  • hehehe i agree ;) can't compare with King Crimson and Genesis... :P

  • year of this song? and this life performance :O?

  • yes, live, it's from the cd 90125, which was made in '83

  • Awesome, just awesome.

  • My favorite song from this version of YES.

  • Yeahhh Wild!!! You were right!!!

  • Trevor sure did bring a lot to this band, in the form of money. I think they did some nice stuff in the 80's, but the brilliant music and the dynamic music, well, listen to the music from the 70's. I prefer Steve and Rick. Trevor has done some nice music for some movies though! But.. Changes is a good song! We did play it live with a band once.

  • To me Yes means something more than this pop garbage.

    Steve FTW

  • Sure it does, but at the same token they were able to create a "Pop" Album and still be YES.

  • YEAA PROGRESSIVE ROCK MANN

  • alan white for president.

  • Fuckin bad ass!

  • The best Yes song ever!!

  • I think this album could be considered a top 5 of all time???

  • Trevor brought a lot to this band. ;) i still love my Steve, though.

  • Jon anderson all the way.

  • For me . . . . . Yes has to be a top three band.

    90125

    Big Generator

    Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe

    Big Generator

    Re-Union

I NEVER get tired of listening to these albums!

  • I grew up with yes as a soundtrack.

I simply can't stand self-serving ultra-sirupy Rabin. He belongs in a hair metal band.

And Kaye is a great keyboardist, for another band.

    Bruford anybody?

  • Ah, the continuous thrashing about of "the best lineup." (You should look at the comments re. Jethro Tull!) I would refer to the "Union" recording and concert tour. I saw them (Dallas, I believe). After two to two and a half hours of them STILL ROCKING I was practically exhausted from smiling so much. Each lineup, or part of the lineup brings different talents. Enjoy them for what they are: fantastic musicians who sound as good or better live than recorded.

  • steve howe is high pitched rinky tink tink Trevor Rabin is rockin brought yes back to the masses with the anthem of the eighties.

  • ohhhhh! please don't say that!! yes, Trevor brought alot to them. not discounting that. but!!! Steve, although not the original guitarist, IMO is and always will be the greatest. Steve and Trevor both have their own styles which should be admired and respected by both musicians and non-musicians. they both contributed alot.

  • If only Steve was there, it would have been perfect.

  • The song is great as it is....might have been a different song with Howe

  • Jon better than Trevor

  • lol the only reason u have fragile and relayer is because of wakemen bro, kaye never wanted to do synthesizer like wakemen, kaye wanted to stay classic keyboard and organ

  • O "Yes" sem Trevor Rabin, Morreu !!!!!!

  • Tony Kaye is such an underrated keyboardist - never thought Rick Wakeman was any better to tell the truth, and Tony is blusier. This is awesome.

  • This absolutely kills. Trevor brought the bigger guitar sound. But Steve is lightyears better in composition and stru
