  • 1:35 hes laughing

  • Owned!

  • Please, Jon, teach us a bit of your yes secrets... how you use them... time of blinking etc. That's so great how you stare at the subjects. How to use that in irder to prepare the persons in order to be hypnotised? Thanks and keep up with the good work.

  • I wish I could find some good resources for learning NLP. any suggestions..a lot of the ones i have found are so..dry/

  • I love how he hypnotizes the guy, says "sleep", then confidently turns to the small crowd and leans back in his chair like, "your response?"

  • In a way this is an act, but it's probably is genuine induction. Normally people don't like awkward silences, so the fill the silence with talk usually. That's not really appropriate here, so the man on the left, decided it was more comfortable to go into trance. Have a look at "hypnotic regression - Good and Evil" here on Youtube.com and you'll learn about another aspect of hypnosis

  • Hi john, i hav egone to the site to see the rest of the vid's but there is nothing. infact every thing i try to look up leads me to a dead end. i do not understand what is going on. please could you explaine. i would be most grateful. thanxs

  • He sat and relaxed because the guy told him to. The film skips about a third of the way through so part of it is missing.

  • he is still chuckling after you tell him to sleep

  • @AndrosForever who says people cant chuckle in hypnosis? doesn't the sub conscious mind contain all the feelings? why cant it use it? a person can have an abreaction and cry but cant chuckle? and sleep - is he going to sleep or just going into trance? think (or research) first, then post.. (and no, i don't mean to sound rude, its just a very basic thing that someone who is commenting on hypnosis should know before commenting)

  • Hmmm. Even though a subject may sincerely state that they do not wish to be hypnotized, doesn't the knowledge that it is a possibility create a state of anticipation? Basically the brain saying "I knew this could happen", and complies?

  • @VitricArt The brain no. The mind certainly.

  • @JonChase what if they dont even know what is hypnosis. can you hypnotize them like that?

  • punches him in the face*

    sleep.

  • What does staring at him do, and around 1:28 what did you say

  • What does staring at him in the eyes do

  • @juanx1400

    It focuses his attention.

  • @juanx1400 Puts him into a trance. But there is slightly more to it than just staring at them :)

  • @juanx1400

It makes him feel awkward and focuses him on something - the hypnotist.. until he is hypnotised.. which doesn't take very long (specially with Jon.. lol) :P

  • I can't believe people watch these videos just to comment that they're "fake". Jon Chase is an extremely skilled hypnotist, go along and watch any of his other videos and ask yourself why would he spend years creating such a strong reputation as a hypnotist, spend a good chunk of his life teaching workshops and pay hundreds of people to "pretend" to be hypnotised? Just so he can fool a bunch of teenagers on youtube?

  • I love at the end when he just confidently sits back and looks at every one like, "Yeah, that just happened...your response?"

  • Maybe hes using the relentless stare tactic where the subject undergoes such emotional pressure by bieng stared at that he mentally breaks in from so much preassure,,,,I think the actual name of this technique is called the Hypnotic Blitz..

  • COOL VIDEO OF YOU STARRING AT A GUY.... YOU'RE RETARDED HA HA

  • This is as real as a Pornstars boobs

  • watch at the guy on the left around 1:35 he laughs an moves his body

  • @calcal65 trust me mate - the amount of times ive burst into a random laughing fit while hypnoytized is unreal!

:P laughing is something the subcontinents considers good, and so if you tell a joke to someone hypnotized he is actually going to laugh more, as his conscious mind isnt there to stop him sounding stupid, this guys is probubly loling at the fact that he did get hypnotised in the end :P

  • i was waiting for either one to rip a loud fart

  • This is the video which convinced me to sign up for Jon's Original Hypnosis course. Which is quite possibly the best thing I ever did!

  • Why did the camera skip? Hmm, a pause maybe?

  • @BlooporialDude I think this took about 3 minutes... he cut out a couple of minutes of just staring at the guy.

  • when the guy puts his head down at the very very end he laughs-its not hypnosis its compliance

  • @17sundays how do you know this?

  • @scrm1 How do I know that when the guy puts his head down at the very end he laughs? I watched the video. How do I know it’s not hypnosis but simple compliance? At the very beginning the man is told to sit and relax, and he does, the "hypnotist" claims it's because of his powers, but its obvious the man is just fallowing directions, as anyone in that situation would do, which is in turn backed up by the fact that at the end he is laughing.

  • @17sundays Can't one be compliant and hypnotised? Can one laugh while "under"? I don't see why not.

  • @scrm1

Laughing is the most common symptom of hypnotic abreaction.

In reality, Hypnosis is not one state, but is several different and deeper levels of trance. Once you induce someone into trance, they can laugh, cry, etc.

However once you get them into the somanbulism state, none of that will happen.

  • i think i know how this workd withought watching another vid.

i am but am i right

its the way he blinks his eyes, they blink slower and slower

  • Hate to break it to the non believers haha but its real , i know cause i have been under hypnosis and i was filmed . i was not a believer till that day.

  • Is he laughing at 1:37? And if he is... Doesn't that mean he's acting? Genuinly curious. I noticed how you were mirroring his movements and surprised him with the tap on the head, but did he really fall under?

  • Man you are an impostor but hypnosis is for real. The secrect is a device who messes with your brain frequences inducting you in a profound trance whish is not defenetely the case.- Get a life do not shit people. Greetings Joao

  • personally, i believe all hypnotists should be banned for what they do

  • Uh no shit it's an act. The guy is still giggling when his head drops.

  • load o shite

  • The guy still smile after he was hypnotized

  • I don't buy it. It's all an act.

  • Why on earth would I bother?

  • @JonChase That's a good question. Maybe to make yourself look "powerful". I don't know, only you can answer this question. I don't believe in this type of hypnotism, the kind that is meant as entertainment. I think it's an act. Sorry....just my opinion.

  • @antbekki I don't believe in hypnotism either, but I love it.

You know, like ghosts. Love em, but don't believe in em.

  • @antbekki

I'm being trained as a Hypnotherapist.

I have alot to learn for my career... and just like form of therapy, it takes skill and patience to learn. If you are serious about learning about this, I will teach you what I can for free. Just message me.

  • man ive seen people be hypnotized before but ive never been, i would like to see it done, i heard you can do eps or whatever its called, like clairaudiance

  • The subject has already told the hypnotist about all the good and excting things about scientology from the beginning, because a friend has told him/her about it. The willing subject is a piece of cake for the hypnotist. So please out there be careful and dont listen if a friend happily are talking about a specific thing that has happen to them. Now its time for Hitchcock to leave the stage.

  • But that type of hypnosis scientology are using has a bigger weight on intimidation (the basic part where you wanna have the subject to sleep). The thing is they arent going to sleep but will be seduced by words all the way, namely words about how good scientology is. You will as a hypnotist always return to the ideal amazing thing about scientology because thats why the subject came.

  • I guess there is several ways you can hypnotize people, but there is a common denominator. People who wanna follow a scientology course are willing people you easily can manipulate, why? Because they simply are curious (therefore willing), they wanna hear or learn about how to be a scientologist. They are doing all what you tell them to do even when they shall go through a test.

  • how did this even work? i mean... he just sat there and he went under when that guy touched his forehead.... was there a command before the long silence? am i missing something here? anyways...

  • @MrBman7272 Yes. The 'suggestion' is "See, I've got him." Basically then all I had to do was wait for him to go. I touch his head simply because he was under but his eyes were not shut and there was a camera.

  • I forgot to say that the question "who's the hypnotist in this situation?" is also a suggestion to go into trance. Even though he said "me" , his subconscous knew that you were. When you told him to sit & relax - another suggestion, particularly when you verified to the audience that he'd done as you told him. Have I got this right? As I said before, I admire your technique!

  • @kingvampyre absolutely right.

  • @JonChase so your basiclly got him to do a TDS search in his head?

  • @JonChase so when hes in this state evrything you tell him he will believe?

like that video were the guy says you wont remember the number 3

and they acutaly didnt when their in this state they do what you say?

  • he was laughing when his head went down.

  • Learning NLP etc and am aware of lots of techniques - currently got a Paul McKenna book which has a CD. Seems to me that there's no hope of it working on me as I recognise instantly the embedded imperratives and his obvious attempts at VAK mix, see, hear, feel etc - in a nutshell what's intended to be subtle and talk to the unconcious mind is talking to my concious as I recognise it. Is this hopeless or can I learn to go along with it?! This guy isn't concious of what you're doing so it works?

  • @ReservationAtDorsia

They say that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. And as a hypnotist myself I find that to be true in practice. You need to use your knowledge about hypnosis to bring yourself into trance because who wouldn't want to develop the ability to become deeply relaxed at will.

You might find that it helps as you listen to an audio file to focus your attention on echoing in your mind each word and suggestion until you're just too relaxed to continue doing your own thing.

  • @FoolNamedJon Hypnosis is not self induced - ever. Nor does it have much to do with relaxation.

  • oh my god he wasen't hypnoticed he was laguhing he's head of

  • I've probably said this before.

When you are hypnotised you are still entirely human.

You can laugh, cry, itch, scratch, fart, cough, be mistaken, lie, imagine stuff that isn't real, talk, walk and do anything else you can do when awake except...

You can Not Conciously Focus or overide your subconscious.

  • I've hypnotised 10s of thousands of people. The guy is even here saying he was hypnotised for gods sake. How many people you hypnotised?

  • @JonChase,why do you hypnotize people?

  • They pay me or I want to.

  • @JonChase, do you think you can hypnotize(brainwash) a nation if they all submitted to you?

  • I do think you could hypnotise a nation, or any other number of people if they all resonated with you. And that, thankfully, is not possible.

  • This is just a stare out competition, and he is just responded due to nerves 01:35 after his head bows you see a chuckle still from the supposedly hypnotised person 1*

  • You did it only with your eyelids???

Because physical is always a better way of explanation than words, u used your body language to make him sleep?! is that right?

  • 1) are you in manchester at any point in the near future?

    2) this is just pacing and leading method isn't it?

  • WTFFF hahahah..and how is he supposed to wake him up now???

  • Have a look at the JonChase video response

  • yes, he was .I wonder if he was laughing at the hypnotists self belief

  • Actually....You still can hear everything when you got hypnotized.....it's just that you couldn't do anything.....it's like your body is completely stuck..and you have to do the thing that you are asked to do...

  • ah, so he was consciously giddy and halving a lark but his inclinations were at the command of his therapist

  • Your words is to weird for me to understand.....

  • he was laughing at the situation while obeying the command.. so it is simply blind obedience

  • That was great. Is it possible to hypnotize someone that is really unsuggestible, stubborn? without them knowing it?

  • Thanks. No - Yes - Yes

  • I saw it too.

    : \

  • Is this like "How do you keep an idiot in suspense?"

    ..."I'll tell you tomorrow..."

    ?

  • I'd probably just laugh at the guy making weird faces at me...

  • Is this real? you did a confusion then suggested sleep? How did you hypnotize him for real? Message me back I really wish to know how you did this.

  • He's a somnambulist. What 'Did it' was the words, "Got him!" to thje rest of the class. All I had to do was wait.

  • That is stage hypnosis and it is not what hypnosis is about.

  • Rubbish. This was done on a remedial hypnosis course, nothing at all to do with the stage and it is precicely what hypnosis is about.

  • Looks like he giggled immediately after "inducing" the hypnosis. I'd have to have this happen to me before I can believe it.

  • too right mate...especially if i am unwilling to be hypnotized

  • You might think that you know what hypnosis, but, isn't nice to know that hypnosis isn't what you think it is?

  • dont You , Like see the guy laughin once he's been "inducted"? Me? i could never do something like that, im not sure if thats real.

  • But of course - delegates on a course cannot go to a local pub on the evening of day 2 and hypnotise 'unsuspecting' drinkers... it could never happen...

Nor could delegates hypnotise the entire cast of a musical in the bar before the end of the course..

And a delegate could never co-train on a course with only a few hours practice....

  • LOL Mike,

    Nope could NEVER happen.

Actually it wasn't the whole cast of Starlight Express, it was just the chorus and backstage staff. ;-)

  • I Like This Video, The Force Is Strong in This One.

You can always say something isn't real, but that just a cheap cop out. You need to be there to be able to begin to know and still without the training your just guessing.

  • Mike did. have a look at my channel and check out the follow up video.

  • This is possible! First thing confidence & 2nd his technique! Try to see at Hypnotherapist's facial & eye expression!

Then you can understand that how to do this!

    Good job!

  • bullshit, good acting.

  • pwned

  • Are some people un-hypnotisable? I mean, willing, but too skeptical, nervous or unable to relax? Because I'd love to experience it, but am not sure it would work.

  • around 20% of humans are not wired to do what would e recognised as formal hypnosis, but everyone can accept suggestion. So the odds are well in your favour.

  • This is fascinating, Jon. I noticed that initially you were focused on the subjects hands. Were you looking for subconscious clues as to the subject's openess to suggestability? Also, he had shown openess by agreeing to the seminar, & by agreeing to participate in returning your gaze. His 'No' seemed to reveal his nervousness at handing over control rather than his unwillingness, as did his long pause at your question before answering. Were these your 'keys' to admission?

  • Nope I was deciding what to do next and was just defocusing.

  • So much for my reading of body language! lol

So, apart from you slowly closing your own eye lids to convey sleepiness, what exactly were you looking for in your subject? How did you know that you had access to the subjects unconscious?

  • cont, - also, in giggling, was he perhaps revealing a form of subconscious relaxation at the possibility of relinquishing conscious control? Am I on the right track at all?

  • I don't think so. He was laughing because he was about to loose a bet with one of the other students.

  • Incidently, Jon, you explained in an earlier comment to someone, that hypnosis is different to trance, because hypnosis is a directed state by someone else with specific instructions. Whereas trance is a self induced state without neccesarily having a specific goal. Is this the reason why hypnosis doesn't work through media? I never feel an altered state while watching a hypnotist on tv or computer. Is it because the hypnotist is not working on me directly, & perhaps tailoring his technique?

  • It's all about intent. If I get my intent right then I just know I'm talking to the subconscious because I am. It works 90%+ of the time for me.

Maybe media doesn't work for you because it will only work for somnambulists which is around 20% of people.

  • I'm not entirely sure what a somnambulist is exactly, Jon, but certainly I'm very susceptible to induction as I understand it. While working as a car mechanic years ago, I was rooted to the spot in a trance state, by an elderly customer who droned on at me in the workshop in a soft voice. His voice was so relaxing that I felt my will drain away & couldn't find the desire to continue my work! Until the boss's screaming intervened! lol. - Perhaps he was trying to induce me into lowering the bill!

  • Im seeking to learn the various techniques to this, and Am a strong beleiver, how did you start out your experience and how did it elevate from there?

  • check out my channel JonChase, lots of training vids there.

I learnt the basics and discovered I was good at it. Talented I guess.

  • This video is a joke and all that laughing didn't help any..

  • I see. And your comment is based on what sort of knowledge concerning hypnosis?

  • i would love to have you try this on me. pretty sure you wouldn't make it.

  • Look into my eyes, look into my eyes.

Not around the eyes. Look into my eyes.

    You're under.

  • what did he do??? dont get it :rrr

  • You can hypnotize the unwilling- As long as you trigger their subconscious by any means (confusion, distractions, concentration). Correct me if i'm wrong, of course.

  • Very interesting, thank you for uploading. I'm trying to understand the difference between hypnosis and trance. When you wrote that trance was a symptom of hypnosis and hypnosis was not the state I thought trance was the state and hypnosis the way to induce it, but then when you wrote hypnosis had nothing to do with trance and that "he'd gone into hypnosis" as if it was the state I got confused again. Could you shed some light on this? I did try the FAQ at the hypnotists but it seems to be down.

  • Rit if you want to understand hypnosis then the best way is to do it - then hopefully it all becomes obvious.

People who are on stage are completely aware and awake but hypnotised. They enter 'trance' when told to do so.

The state of hypnosis is one of aceptance and compliance to the suggestions of a hypnotist.

  • Jon, just wanted to say that was awesome to behold (as was your video of the handshake induction that didn't quite work, but you barreled on and hypnotized the girl anyway). I've got your book Deeper and Deeper and it's great. Thanks for all the great instruction and these videos. All best wishes, Dan

  • ooo the dracula approach..."look into my eyes!"

  • but he was soposed to be asleep, my friend

  • Oh go and rad a book on hypnosis or an article at least. Hypnosis has nothing whatever to do with sleep or trance.

  • oh yea... like its the exact opposite of sleep and trance. what do u get out of making such a remark. do u feel more clever?

of course hypnosis is related to sleep and trance. and so is your day to day awaken consciousness. its just another kind of sleep where u are open to suggestions, only u are not aware.

  • CT

That's almost painful to read and rubbish to boot.

  • what is?... looks like my comment here is gone. u deleted it?

  • Nope it's still; thee on my screen. And still wrong.

  • cant see any old comments here, so i cant reply.

i wish youtube would get their act together and upgrade their software...grrrr...

oh well, i guess they never intended this place to be for conversations.

  • yea, now i see my old remark.

well, there are different forms of hypnosis, and of course also different books on the subject. not all of them agreeing. u just choose one aspect of it that appeals to u and make that one sound like the holy grail of hypnosis, for what ever reason u have.

but to say that hypnosis has nothing to do with sleep or trance is ludicrous. of course it has! and so what! is sleep or trance a no-no word in the world of established hypnosis!?

  • that guy wasent hyponised, he was still laughing

  • I suggest you discover what hypnosis actually is my friend.

Under hypnosis you can laugh, cry, lie, fart, scratch and do all the things a human does.

  • he has a ghost in hes ass

  • I actually think this guy was willing and was just kidding when saying no. It's impossible to hypnotize someone who really doesn't want to be hypnotized.

Apart from that, and at the contrary of what most commenters think here, yes the guy was hypnotized, even though he laughed.

  • The bet over coffe was - " If I don't want you to hypnotise me, you can't."

The thing is he was accessing his hypnotic pattern by trying not to be hypnotised.

    I simply utilised that.

  • You are wrong. Using reverse psychology it is very easy to hypnotise an unwilling person.

  • I'd rather say it depends on to what extent the person is unwilling. In this case, correct me if I'm wrong, but since there wasn't a lot at stake, the person went into a trance at some point and when you said "sleep", he just went "okay, why not after all, I'm already that far...".

But if there was some large sum of money involved for one reason or another, I think somebody could easily withstand this and force themselve not to become hypnotized.

  • I also have to say I love this method, since it requires absolutely no skills whatsoever apart from being able to stare and point at someone's forehead. Perfect for lazy bums like me. :-)

  • No matter what words people use here and no matter how much they studied, they either do hidden-advertising,either they are dangerously stupid!!! Are you sane?! THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! FUCK OFF!!!

  • is that te only whin you got to do like say sleep? and touch is forhead?

  • It's all in your head...

  • Jon Chase

I've been listening to these audio files by Paul McKenna where he tries to get you in a trance. But i'm not sure if it works or not.I relax as much as I can and feel really relaxed, but sometimes a part of my face might start to itch and I really have to scratch it. Just to use an example. So it dosen't feel like i'm recieving anything. How can I know if i'm actually in a trance and that my subconcious is recieving?

  • Your good but I think he was playing along this time

  • Watch the first video response and see what happens next.

  • i was just hypontized today. i wasnt a believer before but i am now lol

  • Well, the subject in this video was not very convincing. As you said, he laughs a lot, making it hard to figure out if he's actually gone into a trance or is just going along with it to be funny.

It is interesting to note that while you can't hypnotize an unwilling subject, it is incredibly easy to make him willing, by, in this case, telling him to relax (if he didn't, it would put him on the spot in front of his friends as being a spoilsport)

  • We ll trance isn't hypnosis but it is where he goes.

This was a training course not a friends get together.

  • when the guy "falls asleep" you can see him laughing a bit. U gotta be a real sheep to fall for this crap!

  • Hypnosis isn't 'sleep' and he laughs a lot. Hypnosis is a pleasurable state of mind.

Come on one of my 1 day introductions and if it's crap I'll give you a free lunch!

  • it was paused for a second, somethings fishy bout this video

  • I cut 3 seconds because of noise.

  • ah i see.. but u know that there can be ppl that hypnotize for fun and then say things like "when you are awake you gonna give me 100 bucks.." that is possible isnt it?

  • Anything is possible my friend.

  • Jon, what sense there is to hypnotise just for camera or fun? i thought its something to learn from meditation to find out more about urself , tell me if im wrong.

  • This video was shot on a training course but hypnosis for fun is great practice and still an awesome experience for the hypnotised!

  • Does this work anytime with anyone? If so, how do you know when it's the right moment to touch him between his eyebrows? And do you need to say something like; Just relax or something like that?

    Thank you

  • No. You know because they go. Sometimes there eyes don't close and that's all I was doing for the sake of the camera.

  • Just love it, I would be very cautious of sitting in fromt of you even if just for a cuppa. Bought your book deepeer and deeper and with more practise I will make you quack like a duck.

  • Oh Yes! It works INDEED! I have been hypnotized 4 times, and you can talk, laugh, and other things while you are in a trance. When you try it yourself, youll know what I mean! ;-)

  • lol the guy that got hypnosed he laughed when he was in "trance"

    so it did not work??

  • How did you know when to give him the command to sleep?

  • now u all go to a bank e hypnotise the teller

    lol

  • im a falier i neee help plzz make a video just for me i like hypnotizeing but it just wont work i belive in it but still wont work

  • awesome, will this work on people who you have known for ages, so you have rapport built with them already, or do you still need to mimic posture and stuff

  • It may.

As with everything, try it and see.

  • this is a fake i no how to hypnotise and that is a definate fake

  • yes, you look like a real expert. Thanks for you comment. ;-)

  • Well said. :-D

  • Owen, download 'Skype', add white_hat_hacker. Contact me and I'll explain.

  • No he whispered you don't want to do this twice before saying sleep. There was a video laps you don't know how long the starring was. He said he didn't want to be hypnotized which meant he either was scared or had been hypnotized before; either way he already believed in hypnosis. His eyes spoke for him since he didn't want to obey direct commands.

  • Wrong

I said "That's right" Twice before saying sleep.

The jump in the film was a bad edit out of a door banging. So you loose 1.2 seconds. Mike had said he could not be hypnotised if he didn't want to be.

If you ask I'll tell you - stop guessing.

  • Hey man..How does criss angel hypnotize and ill trade if u not how to ..

  • why was he still laughing after "sleep"? is it different with everyone? i heard you cant get hipnitised if you dont want to be. The only time you can be is if you're open to suggestion....right?
