@BlueArmyFrog Nearly the entire scientific community agrees that Earth is billions of years old and that humans share a common ancestor with apes and other primates. Pluto is no longer considered a planet because of the required criteria for a planet. Pluto does not orbit the Sun on the same plane as the rest of the planets and is smaller than other objects further out that are also not considered planets.

Science works because scientists are constantly trying falsify claims. A scientist becomes famous by challenging and eventually displacing or improving upon previously held theory because that is the best way to further understanding. Scientists only agree when the theory in question has been thoroughly tested and verified.

Radiometric dating of different materials using different dating methods all point to an old Earth. How is killing a bird and using it's blood supposed to treat or cure leprosy? @BlueArmyFrog There's no reason to believe that the Bible was divinely inspired by God, especially since many of the supernatural claims are historically inconsistent and scientifically not true. Scientists don't just accept Darwin's book because evolutionary theory has progressed so much since Darwin's book proposed the theory. Also, "races" is used in the same way as "species" and they're favored in the sense that their traits are more beneficial within certain environments than others.

I believe that for human evolution to occur there must be a religion in the beginning. The right religion (morally speaking) sets guidelines for human behavior. Once a culture advances and becomes educated and aware of what right and wrong truly is the religion is rendered obsolete. Thus, it becomes a milestone marked and past. Religion is a necessity in human evolution, but it only serves as a means to rise above. Sadly, I know for a fact that god doesn't exist, but this knowlege helps no one.

It just happens that the film was made in the US where it's a majority of the Abrahamic faiths. It's good to see so many of the Abrahamic faiths question their belief systems.
