i used to find this dude who played a 3k point saim hann army filled with jetbikes at my local store. was almost impossible to beat until i started kitting out my fexes with this retard expensive boom build (Barbed strangler 2x deathspitter) 4 of those with 2 shooty warrior squads and a carpet of shooty gaunts to limit there movement, and just slowly shot them all down with blast marker spam.

I hate shooting Tyranids! They are terrible! I play as them and shooting nids are useless! Other then the fex with barbed strangler. You cannot out shoot Eldar, SM, Imp. Guard, Chaos, or anybody else! I stick with close combat.

its alot like fighting tau, a fix or tyrant with a venmon cannon nd propperly pimped out can bust p most of thire vehicals, and horman guants and flanking stealers can tie things down in meelee, ravaners and licitor pop up and give um problems, all this of course to distract from a wave of guants marching in :)

Nice move using the tank as a shield. The gaunts couldn't take it down and couldn't get around it, very nice. No offense but the nid player was at a disadvantage with so many vehicles on the board I believe in 5th edition rules bio plasma would still hit your ships on a 4+ even if they move but shh don't tell the nid player that

I let the tyranids charge thinning their numbers with scatter laser and star cannon fire. Took down the bigger bugs with mindwar and bright lances. I then took my vypers and wave serpents and made a ring around my jetbikes so the tyranids couldn't assault- the little guys gaunts couldn't even damage my grave tanks and would have needed sixes to hit anyway. With nothing to assault I wiped them out, so no Tyranids won't slaughter eldar at close range.
