I have a very hard time watching American news broadcasts. Usually after about ten minutes, I am forced to turn it off because it's so depressing. That being said, nothing is false or not true, but the information and the way it is presented it hard for me to watch. "Twenty innocent teens got shot today". "Another pandemic disease is infecting half the world. 2 people have died so far". etc. etc. etc.
(CONTINUED) I think the mindset of Americans thinking the way they do is as such. They always tend to instantly believe that when someone is trying to inform them of something important, that they are actually trying to instill fear in them. This might be due to the constant threat of 'terrorism' and hearing about it every day. If I was an American, I would probably do the same thing. There is a huge difference between terrorism to do with bombing, and other forms of vioence VS. the environment.
All in all, it isn't a matter of putting fear in anyone. It's a matter of informing people. Americans are globally known to be the least informed of any other type of person per person on the planet. Ironically however, most of them spend their time watching television more than they do anything else. That's assuming everything on television is true, which it's not. I could pull out dozens of graphs and other forms of proof to convince an American that everything they believe to be true is not.

I have a very hard time watching American news broadcasts. Usually after about ten minutes, I am forced to turn it off because it's so depressing. That being said, nothing is false or not true, but the information and the way it is presented it hard for me to watch. "Twenty innocent teens got shot today". "Another pandemic disease is infecting half the world. 2 people have died so far". etc. etc. etc.

(CONTINUED) I think the mindset of Americans thinking the way they do is as such. They always tend to instantly believe that when someone is trying to inform them of something important, that they are actually trying to instill fear in them. This might be due to the constant threat of 'terrorism' and hearing about it every day. If I was an American, I would probably do the same thing. There is a huge difference between terrorism to do with bombing, and other forms of vioence VS. the environment.

All in all, it isn't a matter of putting fear in anyone. It's a matter of informing people. Americans are globally known to be the least informed of any other type of person per person on the planet. Ironically however, most of them spend their time watching television more than they do anything else. That's assuming everything on television is true, which it's not. I could pull out dozens of graphs and other forms of proof to convince an American that everything they believe to be true is not.
