Derren puts Kathy in a hypnotic trance when she is pressing on his hand. Not only does pressing of the hand anchor a "stopping" or "still" motion, but while he's putting her in that trance, pay attention to how many times he says "stop" or other variations of the word. At this point Derren established a connection with her brain to sense when he clenched his fist causing her to stop. To her it feels instinctual, but she is also unaware that Derren meant for this to happen.

The first woman he anchored her to stop when she got that point he asked her to "stop" and while questioning her if she was "okay" with doing what he wanted her to she agreed everytime she agreed he tapped her on the shoulder. So he made her agree to STOP when she got to that point when: "Walking around"

The second girl was a stooge. Half of the magic in this show involves stooges.

I agree, the second woman was a plant and the first "tric" isn't that difficult to find out how he does it. That's a very nice way he uses NLP. Embedded commands, spot-anchor, the movement with his hand (making a fist) is just for the show.

The second part is clearly fake. I think she's a plant, she seems like she's acting too much at the end too. That's why the first woman didn't work. He was trying to stall the lady in pink until one of their plants got in her view, but unf. she chose the lady in blue (not a plant) first.
