  • ca someone please explain this video

  • Yay Dots and Loops! But also Valley Hi! And whatever Latetia feels like doing.

  • Bloody nuts? Is this an inside joke? I hope they (or one of them) are not cutting them from certain fans whom they want out of the way (Like that movie)!

  • gyönyörűséges!

  • Stereo is my favourite group of the 1990s and hope they make more great stuff and hold more concerts as I would definitely want to go and see them perform!!

  • agora tb há coisas boas

  • the video director records under the name 'the focus group' on ghost box records. i think stereolab fans would enjoy his stuff.

  • ..great bass line and Top percussion as ever, but no ice cream!

  • Pants! maybe it'l grow on me, not..

  • beautiful

  • from wikipedia: On 2nd April 2009 Stereolab manager Martin Pike posted a message on the band's website, announcing that after 19 years the band would go into hiatus as "there are no plans to record new tracks". =(

  • yeah!!!!!!

  • You are all bloody Nuts.. Stereolab is brilliant..

    However

    Nothing beats Dots and Loops!

  • guys allthis latest "avant-pop" by stereolab is quit fun & lovely, but it all started much more psychadelic and comprehensive....

try out 93' "transient random noise..."

    a different kinda planet

  • We all know that love : )))))

  • that's their best album

  • Digging the entire cubist nature of this video. Beautiful stuff... and lovely track by an fantastic band who have been churning out beautiful albums for almost 20 years now!

  • Feelgood track from Stereolab. I think it's very good. What's bizarre is hearing it the other day I almost mistaken it for Barbara Carlotti because they are both on 4AD (now) and Carlotti I guess sound like Stereolab at times, or Stereolab sound like 60's french music maybe. You decide.

  • i miss mary. i love the last couple of albums but the sound has change since marys been gone.

  • WFT? Someone gave me a thumbs-down on my comment? Really? I saw Stereolab in Denver back in October. Laeticia was more animated when she played with Monade than she was with Stereolab. Really, if you gave me a thumbs-down, you either just began listening to Stereolab or you just don't know what you're talking about.

  • The riff is taken from Dance Dance dance by The Casualeers.

  • I agree that this isn't their best material. It's good, but not my favorite. I honestly kind of like Fab Four Suture.

  • Good comment!!!!! I like that album to, but being the stereoLab..... Interesting to say the least. Would you not agree???

  • Catchy, yes, but nothing new. They've been coasting downhill since "Margarine Eclipse" and it's getting to be less and less fun to hear new material from them.

Enjoyed the band since "Dots and Loops." Honestly, even seeing this video, they seem to just follow their formula a little too carefully to sound fresh. Mary's passing truly ended the Lab's progression musically as the past three albums, now, have sounded virtually identical to one another.

  • I do have to agree that Mary's death did hurt the groop artistically, and Margerine Eclipse and Fab Four Suture were major disappointments, sounding like a band going through the motions. However I must say Chemical Chords for me is a kind of return to form, with more inspired and interesting material that I haven't heard much of since Sound-Dust.

  • Nice song. I really like Stereolab!

  • this new album is nice, although my favourite one from them will always be 'sound dust'. the most complex, multidimensional and advanced songs that remain the same huge discovery every time i listen to them.

  • dots and loops is by far my favourite. to my mind it is their tour de force, a perfect masterpiece.

  • yes, i have the greatest sentiment exactly for dots & loops. great melodies and atmosphere. although i must admit that musically sound dust reaches wider musical areas.

  • Another great one from Stereolab! Wow and flutter, that's one colorful video.....

  • director : Julian House

  • Thank you!

  • If you had fallen into the matmos in Barberella, it would have been like this.

    Swimming in Psychedelia

  • Who is behind it?

    Who directed the video?

  • The first single of the brand new album, "Chemical Chords", -which will be available in August 14- from my FAVORITE BAND EVER: STEREOLAB.

    Best from Lima, PE

  • Your name (Cocteaulab) sound like you are also a Cocteau Twins fan, and I think Cocteau should be your fave band ever, Stereolab second. Unless you meant the cineast-poet.
