@YO8TJJ Yes, I have made several contacts via satellite with the UV-3R. The easiest antenna to build is either a homebrew ioIO antenna or the 2m tape-measure yagi.

@FOVIESG The antenna is a commercially available "Arrow II" split-boom, dual-band (70cm / 2m), cross-polarized yagi.
