  • i feel bad for the intelligent calcium :(

  • This is what is called a "PARODY"!

  • I thought the intelligent calcium had a hitchiker's joke. but then i was all it's a coincidence

  • right.... Depriving intelligent calcium of oxygen kills it. Will do.

  • Anyone else notice the "Q" missing on the REMS?

  • @poopydoopy1485 Q doesn't exist you fool! It's as preposterous as there being a number larger than 45 billion!

  • @AntiKythera108

Someone is pained in their rectal region. Calm down bro, it's a joke. It's parodying the racism and discrimiation of the 70s.

I encourage everyone to like this artwork.

  • @AntiKythera108 Fuck that, what about the poor calcium?

  • You MURDERED the Intelligent Calcium, you MURDERERS!

  • 'CALCUIM'

  • amrizzlenyash is having you on. You fell for it.

  • 6:13 it's EDGAR WRIGHT! Huzzah!

  • wew did experiment 3 in school las week, we weren't using Signifords constant obviously , but only one person could get it to work. when it was set to 1 QPS it moved 2 inches, nobody thought it would work and its quite impressive to see.

  • Thalcium.

  • When the image appeared on a sidewalk, I fucking lost it

  • Yay, Ed Wright :D

  • What a load of rubbish, hardly any of it makes sense.. must have been made like 50 years ago or something

  • @amrizzlenyash Why in god's name are you watching this recreationally? But i agree amrizzlenyash, it was made ages ago. Now time to do some english lit fam

  • @theakka300095 ITS THIND.

  • @amrizzlenyash you see there's this thing called sarcasm... something that's obviously being utilized in this show. Weird that you didn't catch on.

  • @citygirl435 omg you are such an idiot, this isnt sarcasm, this was made a long time ago, so all the science is really old and its improved now coz we no more stuff in science, its not sarcasm you fucking spastic.

  • @amrizzlenyash This show was not "made a long time ago".

Look Around You is a British television comedy series devised and written by Robert Popper and Peter Serafinowicz, and, in the first series, narrated by Nigel Lambert. The first series of eight 10-minute shorts was shown in 2002, and the second series of six 30-minute episodes in 2005, both on BBC2. In the first series, the episodes ("modules") satirise and pay homage to late 1970s and early 1980s educational films and school programmes.

  • You may have created some of the best British films of the 20th Century, Edgar Wright. But you still killed the intelligent Calcium. We will never forget.

  • This show makes me want a glass of milk.

  • hahahha 1:41 the coin!!

  • :( they killed the intelligent calcium...

if I had some intelligent calcium, I would have given it a little jacket

  • So if you murder intelligent Calcium, does it become just regular Calcium?

  • I love how all the chemical equations are completely unbalanced and impossible.

  • hilarious!

  • I love the fact, that during the conductivity of calcium test, that the bloke still has a 50p stuck to the back of his hand.

  • the light jizzed...

  • MILCHigg

  • Calcium murdering BASTARDS!

  • the saddest death scene ever

  • so thats why i see calcium mounds when i'm walking around manhattan! fascinating.

  • ...why are those people naked?

  • @621sneakers I think they were in a roomo of helium and their calcium clothes imaged away.

  • @621sneakers would have been nice if she turned around.

  • i see this particular scientist is sporting a rather fetching Halfpound, as was the fashion way back yestercentury.

  • why doesn't my mouth light up when i eat salt?

its salt and calcium in the teeth

  • @skrahnha Teeth are covered in Kroms membrane.

  • legendary

  • Oh wait? this is comedy... then i guess i know how i went in my last chemistry exam then...

  • 10:00 cracked me up bigtime

  • over 500 miles away...

  • MURDERER!!!

  • @mmitchellcainn It's called comedy, chief.

  • @mmitchellcainn Obviously. This was a parody of British educational films, and the series aired in 2002 on BBC.

  • I was doing Experiment One, but the bulb buzzed and then shattered, producing milk, then the queen atom left the nest, am I in danger of the Helvettica Scenario, and what am I doing wrong?

  • @GeorgeGavin1 did you use a 9-volt batter?

  • @GeorgeGavin1 Don't worry these feelings are perfectly normal for someone of your age.

  • @GowanBray That's a relief, I was in fear of becoming milchig.

  • The intelligent calcium's death was sadder than the end of Titanic.

  • 3:00 That's not a pyramid. It's a cone. -_-

  • @3DPlanets you're a fucking cone

  • @carlsunshine

    So's your mom.

  • @3DPlanets jesus u just lost it without me saying anything

  • Milchig!

    מלכג!

  • Oh so THAT's how they make Tommassons oil. Learn something new every day!

  • fucking hilarious!!! anyone noticed the spelling mistake 9:59 "calcuim" da fuck is dat looool

  • I find it humorous that the intelligent calcium had an atomic weight of 42. Strange connection time: In The Hitchhiker's Guide, Arthur makes some Scrabble tiles out of bone (Intelligent Calcium?) and tries to randomly figure out the ultimate question. The answer, of course, is 42. The question the tiles came up with was "What do you get if you multiply six by nine?" I dunno, just me I guess.

  • @kornspring Haha! So nerdy. But I see 42 everywhere now. You're not alone...

  • hahaha, @1:00 the coin is still stuck to his hand

  • 42! I KNEW Douglas Adams would love this.

  • the scientist always neglects to label his besselheim.

  • thanks calcium......thalcium

  • Here's what I have in my copybook: HELVETICA - dangerous but rare MILCHIG - Hebrew for Milk Product VESSELHEIM - to complete circuit 8" CALCIUM IMAGE MISPLACEMENT (C.I.M.) 11.5" REMS and INTELLIGENT CALCIUM readings: Atomic weight: F O R T Y T W O Location I N A T E S T T U B E Condition: C O L D NB - Intelligent Ca killed by hypoxia Never give a gypsy Ca (note - Why? Do they kill it with hypoxia?) I showed it to my teacher and I got A+. Now my Mum is going to buy me some trainers.
  • @belisariusorb cheers!

  • Watch your Vesselheim!

  • id love to be a teacher and show this to a classroom of 6 year olds

  • 10:00 "Calcuim" Lol

  • "Calcuim"?

  • "This time, the image of the calcic pyramid appears over 500 miles away".. My first reaction was "What the fuck?".. lmao

It was sad when they killed the Intelligent Calcium, though...

  • 11.5... write that down

  • Douglas Adams would have been proud of the Intelligent Ca (mass 42)

  • Never give a gypsy calcium

    wrote that down!

  • well thats a bit fucked up isnt it? 9:20

  • This is so fucking stupid.

Everyone knows not to give a gypsy calcium...

  • Oh my god you killed intelligent calcium! You bastard XD!

  • GYPSY? '´?

  • Is there something more disturbed than this.... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • They sufficated the inteligent calcium.

  • Ha ha ha hah 500 miles away to New York... Ha ha ha ha!!!

And why aren't they wearing clothes at 10:35? Ha ha ha ha!

British humor... Ha ha ha ha!

  • what I love most of all is the simple experiments that fail are really what tends to happen in science most of the time. HEY LET'S SEE IF THIS WORKS! nope... on to the next question... XD

  • All of my friends now use the word "Milchig" to express general disapproval of anything at all.

  • what the f...

  • Wow. As a chemist, I can't believe I never saw this before now. It's so wrong... but... so right!

  • epic, love this series....did anyone notice tho that on the REMS machine there is no Q??

  • Our chemistry teacher showed it us before Christmas, the Lithium episode, EPIC

  • How depressing is it that I actually got sad when they killed the intelligent calcium?

  • Comment removed

  • I want to know if anyone here has shown this to a class of school children - just for kicks. :D

  • Comment removed

  • My teacher did just last week hahaha

  • Did people get it straight away? What grade is the class?

  • we were shown the entire series in AH Physics (scottish system) at the end of the year, brilliant stuff.

  • never give a gypsy calcium

  • at 5:58 to 6:00 when the people are talking while naked, i think there's a nip-slip

  • I think you're right!

  • yes , the dudes nipple ;-(

  • @bob123789456

Write that in your copybook, now.

  • calcic image misplacement lmfao!!

  • Oddly enough, the part about dairy products being called "milchig"--as well as the spelling of that word in Hebrew--are both correct.

  • Yiddish surely?

  • You're right, the language is Yiddish. Since Yiddish uses the Hebrew alphabet, I meant to say that the word is spelled correctly in that alphabet. I can see how that wasn't at all clear from the way I phrased it, though.

  • Its meant to be a comedy programme.

  • lol THAT'S what tipped you off? THEY SPELLED CALCIUM WRONG xD. Awesome. So when they were saying "this time the image of calcium appeared 500 miles away" you were thinking, "Yeah, I could believe that" xD

  • You must be this intelligent to watch comedy.

  • lol at the description

  • Temporary body paralysis haha!

  • note the subtle coin on the scientist's hand.

  • Never give a gypsie calcium! xD

  • 5:55 intelligent

  • 1:20 it's very sad that the lamp did not light.

  • i bet some dumbass thinks its a real science video, this is funny as shit

  • Write that down.

  • The scientist is Edgar Wright :)

  • a joke

  • no... are you sure ?

  • these fcukers are off the map crazy

  • forty two

  • I tried the Helium thing, it didn't work.

  • noshit

  • Are there leaks in your line? Are you using the stated minimum of 2.5 quarons/second?

Are you using a regulation ping pong ball?

  • They killed it D:

    Cruelty to elements!

  • 4:32 is wtf i just want to have a class and show this

  • Oh, My God, they killed calcium!

    You bastards! :(

BTW, why were their naked people?! XD

  • And the calcic image is projected over 500 miles away. (To America).

    lol internet

  • funniest thing since Monty Python. Actually, it's like Monty Python meets The Onion.

  • Careful... Never give a gypsy calcium or you might invoke Helvetica...

  • HA at 1:09 he still has the coin on his hand

  • 1:43 as well

  • This was good. Was it written by intelligent calcium?

  • I wonder what would happen if the queen atom was to leave intelligent calcium.

  • It'd be the Helvetica Scenario, except in addition to the horror, the particles would also steal queen atoms from OTHER calcium molecules.

  • my god :| that just doesn't bear thinking about :p

  • Al Qaeda is working on a virus to initiate the reaction in Hereford cows. Only polled livestock are at risk, however, because calcium is an apolar molecule.

  • Comment removed

  • lol I love the "Danger Helvetica" sign... "helvetica" is nothing but a font and the sign is written in this font :P

  • 2:56

  • Noooo! He killed the intelligent calcium!

    :)

    Never give a gypsy calcium!

  • Bastards!

  • Ca + NaCl = CaCl + N2O

    of course!

  • Na explodes into N2O

  • I like the guy writing "calcuim" near the end.

  • intelligent calcium ahaha the random naked people

  • "Calcic Image Misplacement (C.I.M.)" :p

  • HAHAHA 42!!! The meaning of life :3

This REAKS of Douglas Adams - and that's a good thing.

  • I wish I were a high school teacher so I could play these and pass them off as real for a laugh.

  • OMG, this is sick and delicious. I didn't quite catch that it was comedy until over 6 minutes into the thing, with The Helvetica Scenario.

    Wicked!

  • *snif snif* Why did they kill the poor calcium, WHY!!!!???

  • thats so sad! why did they kill the poor calcium. it.. brings back so many bad memories.. *sniff* :*( i miss my companion cube.

  • 500 miles away

    BS :D

  • Remember, Never give a gypsy calcium.
