@karlmoles65 YEA.I LOVE ALL THERE STUFF BUT THE 1ST 2 ALBUMS KICK SOME MAJOR ASS.Sometimes i think that if they stayed a hard rock band they could have been welcome into the metal scene in the 80s.THANX FOR YOUR CHANNEL.isn't ther logo the coolest ever?????
Barry and Frank are still playing as Angel. Gregg and Punky are in the wings and waiting for the call. Join Legendary Rock Interviews on facebook. They just posted a huge interview with Frank.
one of the best bands of the 70s-- and truly better than van halen or fleetwood muck or boston or foreigner-- Angel was right on in 1976, then their casablanca manager deluded them to become a teen-girl appeal pop band, and that destroyed them--- and that is why the bass player left them after 'On earth as it is"
I want to bring these guys back. I have known about this band my whole life and always remembered them as awesome. KISS was dark and simple, but ANGEL was light and more technical.
Geddy & Rush really influenced a lot of artists. It is odd these guys never stuck to it. God knows Rush almost cut and ran back after 'Caress of Steel'.
@oldjizzy Not just Angel, some amazing bands never got over the hump,is it poor mgmt/marketing,wrong place/ time,no connections, black listing, not enough demand, band member probs, ahead of the time,or the FM friendly thing,no intestinal fortitude, bad schmoozing skills, think of the scores of un tapped artists who never got to see the light of day,I know I've seen plenty of bands who were incredible& never got past the clubs, and not for a lack of trying..don't you wonder ? must be like show biz
