The Quake 3 railgun sound just doesn't fit with the awesome power of those cannons. Something like the Flak cannon fire sound from XTM, only beefier, would be more fitting methinks.
CmodII V1.10 will be released immediately after XTM 0.7.4, I'm currently with the beta team for XTM's next release so that takes priority, but you wont have to wait too long I think. :)

Too bad I don't know how to reskin ships in X3, I'd put the Confederate Flag on a Titan and call it "General Lee"...

monstrously megabeast, if only boron ships could mount it...X3TC is teh failz...Gauss Cannons (weaker railguns) dont look half as cool
