damn youtube! the low end at 2:45 is completely f*cked up. I have this cd and it's supposed to be a very low oscillating bass wave, I hate this compression!
to all those who like to think they know something, why don't you go and listen to stuff you actually like?!? for me this album is the only prodigy album, it defined our generation. i see them at labrynths 3rd birthday at bagleys in 93, the good old days never fade from your memory no matter how many e's you necked. good times
Criminal Justice bill killed the scene , i remember summer of 91 , hearing this at cassingtons rave in oxford at 7am in morning ...having a come down cup of tea! top tune and a time thats not forgotten!
@smileegee They did the same in the SF Bay Area years later ~2000; Oakland in the 90's had the most awesome massives in warehouses with very little crime.
they killed the scene because they literally KILLED the scene. Quick cuts and speed/power made this far above the rest. Unless you can prove otherwise.
@wizenhiemr They really set the bar really high and when Music For The Jilted Generation came out it just solidified them. Nobody in my view could come close to what the Prodigy did with their first two albums.
@TheHappybreakbeat stupid is saying what you have said. These genres are different, have different tempos, different baselines, dnb almost never uses amen break and its more like two step fantom beat and jungle has a very specific complex beat and the fact that dnb rooted from jungle doesnt mean that theyre the same
@k33fy The Prodigy were blamed for the death of the entire scene, but this was good, its not their fault an endless quantity of novelty songs emerged from nowhere completely burying and ridiculing the entire scene.
@RevengeofShinobi1 Actually, I think it was the original version of this song that was the reason people blame them. This got popular, then so did a rave version of the Sesame Street theme, and the Sesame Street one inspired a bunch of copycat songs people called Toytown techno.

I seen them in the KIngs Hall in Belfast in 90 something, the acoustics were shit but still had a good time. Think I need to get my vinyl out again.

Damn youtubes compression it creates distortion at 10 seconds when the beats kick in and cuts the bass out at 2:30.
Was it this track that started the whole kindergarten pop thing? with the likes of "trip to Trumpton" and "Sesmes treat"
