@juliedealer It's been hard for me to keep up with comments so I apologize. Some days are harder then others. On the forum on my site there are several discussions about this topic with helpful hints.. the forum is free so you may want to check it out.
Thank you for doing this!. I'm so inspired. I'm working on my livestyle as well. When I started my weight was about 280 lbs and after I started to eat half as much, swiming and spent some fun hours at the gym I'm now at 270 lbs a few weeks later, and still going strong! Keep up your good work! I will follow your journey fat2fit! =) Happy New Year! //Greetings from Sweden
This is certainly a laudable project, but let's be clear: ballooning up for 6 months doesn't suddenly turn an extremely fit athletic young man into a slug. Even sporting that much bodyfat, he's still an extremely fit individual, and losing the weight and returning to his exercise regime will not present the same challenges it would to someone who has been out of shape for years. But I do think this is an inspirational idea (even if there's a commercial motive - and that fraud Oz - behind it).
This is NOT accurate. Because this guy was fit all his life and he gained weight. Of course he will have no trouble losing weight, his body wants to be in shape. On contrary, a person who has been overweight most of their life- their body wants to fight to stay overweight. He didnt stay overweight long enough. And for good reason. He knows for a fact that had he stayed that way, he would have a hell of a time losing weight.
@VASINGER Your a non believer. Gaining weight in a short period and losing it is just the same as being overweight your whole life and losing it. It can go either way and you are suggesting it will be harder for someone overweight their whole life to lose it but guess again idiot, it will be just as hard for a fittness freak to lose it because they are in an unknown territory and he may end up being like this for the rest of his life depressing isnt it.
@Gold2009Coast Its not the same! He has a higher metabolism. He is used to being fit, and his body is programmed to be at a certain weight. He could just stop drinking cokes and he would probably lose 25 lbs without even trying. Im a real person who has struggled with obesity since age 13, and it has taken me 5 years to lose 85 lbs, I already have gained some of it back. I exercise more than you would care to know. My body wants to be fat.
@gold2009coast - i totally respect this guy, regardless of who says its the same or not. i've yoyo'd from 165lbs to 265lbs in my lifetime and i am a true believer that it is in your mentality. learn to love your body, the rest will fall into play if you are feeding it right and exercising on a regular basis with periods of rest in between.
You can control cravings with cheat meals or healthy variations, but you may just have to reduce the quantity of what your craving, or keep it out of your Ouse

@Sammicsno if you wanna stay at a low weight start exercising to boost your metabolism and as @VASINGER said it will make your body adapt and want to stay in a certain shape so will be harder to gain weight even if you eat alot.
Drew/Dru - thank you over and over again for going on this journey. While your metabolism may not be as shot as those who have been overweight for years; I wholeheartedly commend you on taking on this initiative. It is unheard of in the personal trainer world; they prefer to lecture and view bodies as machines. Keep your spirits up Dru. Hope you have a great Christmas with family and loved ones.
@diesel828 so... is this where I am suppose to be upset and react? I'm a university student so I'm not too worried about what someone who is probably not studying has to say.
@haha1yeeyee1sobate - On his website fit2fat2fit dotcom, he's listed as 6'2. There's lots of info about stuff there, worth checking out if you're interested.
@BXBZ88 That isn't intermittent fasting, that is another tactic which does work well though. Intermittent fasting is where you don't eat until 2pm each day (assuming you wake at 8am) and then have a small lunch and a huge dinner. You also alternate between high calories on workout days and low calories on rest/cardio days
@BXBZ88 I don't recommend a 48 hour fast (24 for one day + 2 nights either side) or even a 24 hour fast, your body will go catabolic after about ~48-72 hours. If you do a fast that long make sure to have at least a protein shake at some point.
@roflex2 First off, that's your definition of what constitutes an 'intermittent fast'. There are numerous programs that are on the net and the one I suggested was one which was 24hrs in length. For example-last meal at 3pm,no calories until 3pm next day.I don't want to suggest which particular model/person who promotes this due to users thinking the comment is spam.
When your losing weight/fat you are in a catabolic state, doing resistance exercises (regularly) helps prevent muscle loss.
Everytime I see these videos I think about how amazing it was for you to do this? I'm sure you know what to do to loose all the weight you gained even faster, but you are pacing your self to help others.
@depfox You can do that tho.. Allow urself a cheat once every 2-3 weeks.. Definately will help you stay motivated if you can control them.. Eat WHATEVER U want that day
your face never changed

I hate exercise, so the only way I've been able to lose weight is by half-starving myself. Works for me.

Have you considered trying 'Intermittent Fasting'? Two individual 24 periods of no caloric intake during a week cycle.
