Actually, the Flying Battery Zone was in Sonic & Knuckles, not Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

you're giving metropolis zone too much credit. it wasn't just the starfish, it was also the shellcrackers and the slicers. all of the enemies were dicks, which sucks since they're coming back for a zone in sonic 4...
