@xBlackWaterxx You fucked up. Here is the correct way to express what is on that limited mind you have, kiddo. "All I see are a bunch of crybabies." Maybe you can copy the part in the quotation marks and try again.
While so much of the Pumkins catalogue has affected me emotionally, four (off the top of my head) Pumpkins songs have ever brought me to tears: "For Martha," "Mayonaise," "Thirty-Three," and "Pomp and Circumstance." And all have done so because they make me think of the same person.
my love, we don't have to say good bye, now we´re seeing us on the other side... i´m always with you, don´t be scared, just close your eyes and feel it
i wish i could give The Smashing Pumpkins one big hug that would make them all get along again. They were something else, from the moment that time brought them together the four of them...musical fireworks. Funny how that all kinda just falls together for some people. I'm a better person for it :) Thanks SP
i've always loved the main piano bit to this song, from 0:35 on. I sat at a piano for hours figuring out how to play it. thats matt cameron of soundgarden/pearl jam on drums- awesome
I just have to say... and I completely agree that this is a beautiful song... that not all rap is that simple... I'm willing to debate. This song really talks about how hard his life is. --------> watch?v=1q6c3n_ZQ5o
It's funny how people listen to such shitty, non-meaning music on a daily basis like it's normal. Wake up people, THIS is REAL music, with REAL meaning. Beautiful instruments with an epic voice from one of humanity's greatest bands.
this song made me think of my grandpa dying. We're really close and this just makes me realize it's okay, i'll see him again someday, it'll be alright. this song has great meaning i love it. Adore is such a damn good album of theirs.
This song was given to me after my son 5yrs old died of Leukemia in 1998.He was a strong little fighter, and asked me about heaven. This is my song for him,and for every child that loses the battle. And i will see him on the other side one day but his picture never out of time. The most amzing song i have heard. thnx Billy
@atlantisrising100 haha your kid died fucking loser ..you obviously don't care about him since your posting this comment on YouTube or probably he never existed lol douche
@atlantisrising100 Please don't listen to people like @xBlackWaterxx...Obviously they're just mad that nobody has ever loved them, and when they die nobody's going to listen to a song this incredible and remember them, because nobody will care that they have died. Seriously, some people need to get a life, and stop harassing good people. Sorry for your loss :(
Billy Corgan put every bit of his heart and soul into this album along with the rest of the Pumpkins and it's one of the best records I have ever heard. Just makes me feel good when I am feeling shitty...puts life into a greater perspective.
who are people who dislike songs like this??? go dislike justin Beiber or Kesha tryin to make as much money as possible instead of putting heart and soul into their songs.
For a tribute to his mother, I don't feel that this is a sad song I feel it's more a song about how he knows he'll see her again "on the other side" alot of other songs on Adore sound alot more sad like To Sheila and Blank Page
i'm always listening to new bands and new music but no matter what, i always come back to smashing pumpkins at the end of the day. there just isn't anything like them anymore =(
this has always been my favorite song. but this is the first time i've listened to it since my mom died. it's exactly how i would explain my pain with music.
you would upload this just to make me cry one more time today ;) I guess a lot of tears in a day can be a really good thing when it comes to good emotional music. Thanks buddy :) God bless you.
The guitar starts with mellow characteristics, reminiscent of infancy. It develops into a sharpened, aggressive phase, as if vociferating. When the song appears to have reached its climax and to fade out, something comes to sustain the reduced guitar, looping. The previous dynamic, assertive riff comes back in a reversed form, as if someone has responded to the cry. The riff repeats in an alternation btwn the low pitch and the high pitch, as if an eternal reflection between a son and his mother.
R.I.P. Martha Corgan, thank you for giving birth to the greatest musician the world will ever know. Farewell and goodnight to all that's pure that's in your heart..
One of the most beautiful Smashing Pumpkins songs...EVER. This is pretty much the only song that makes me cry. It is a true master piece and the BEST song off of Adore by far.
I seriously can't listen to this song without crying. It's so beautiful, and conveys the feeling of that irreplaceable relationship with your mother so well.
