I once paid a fistful of cash for a ticket to see Durrutti Column at some place near Euston stn. I couldn't make it on the night as i'd moved out of London that week i think or something,.. but i like to think i left an empty seat occupied by nothing but my sense of appreciation that i'd bought a ticket.
