  • woohoo! long live greenthumbs!

  • no havanna grows 80% of its food (vegetables + fruits) inside city limits and in the u.s it was people grew 40% of all their produce during world war 2 or was it one i forgot. there are people who grow all of their own produce on one (average) city lot, its not that hard.

  • umm but people do live on gardening. most people in the country grow most of their own food, and people in the city are growing mass amounts of fresh produce, i quite enjoy gardening actualy.

  • Yes, thats right, the city has the land, use it! Ache'

  • Full circle..

Greed is unsustainable and creates mysery , working against the natural world and not with it.

Earth turns to gold in the hands of the wise..

  • wtf?

  • Vowels are letters too!

  • I agree with marniespeaks. Also, if we could just hold back on Real Estate development rather than letting that greed consume us, we may be able to have enough Earth to survive.

  • better check the lead levels in the soil

  • I really believe every school should have a community garden. Some of those playgrounds are a huge waste of good land. What an opportunity for the kids to learn nutrition, science, economics, the possibilities are endless! This is just what this generation needs to get connected to the earth again.

  • cool

  • we, in developed nations, waste so much resources on our lawns and yards with nothing but aesthetic value. We should migrate towards having more urban agriculture, turning our yards into farms and producing something that has a value - food.
