I knew a cop that was hurt by a drunk at 42. Was beaten so badly that he is on disability for the rest of his life. And the drunk wasn't a big guy . . just wired. And this man's brain wasn't functioning or he wouldn't have kept getting up. He could have killed people driving as he thought he had the right to do. The officer needed to get him down and keep him down.
