  • thank you so much for saving that poor guy! he was probably all freaked out by all the cars and strange smells on the highway! i hate that none of the cars passing even slowed down to help him cross D: i saw a family of ducks crossing once on the highway and NO ONE FREAKING STOPPED! FOR DUCKLINGS! it was aweful! D': there was even one car that drove right over top of them (luckily none got under the wheels) thank goodness they all got across safely or i would have broken down crying right there!

  • try watching this with the Christmas snow

  • good job saving that beaver!

  • Good job! Another act of bravery and carefulness. What everyone should have more of.

  • Thank you for saving that beaver.

  • I Cant Watching It

  • poor animals....

fuck humanity; some animals number in the hundreds while we are at 7 billion... we don't even fit anymore, with all our cities and highways...

fuck this, I'd rather leave like a caveman than see Earth turn into Coruscant!

  • What the fuck?! Why was NO ONE on the highway stopping or at LEAST slowing down for the animal?! What the hell is wrong with the world?!?!

You, sir, are a saint! At least SOMEONE cares about animals!! Everyone else who just sped on past and put that little beaver's life in danger should be shot!

  • WELCOME TO CANADA!

  • papick1 should just shut his mouth and keep the comments to himself. (:

anyway, its really brave of u to save the beaver.

  • hows a bever a nuisance?

  • pauvre coco!!

  • Did you skin him for a trophy?

  • Well, I can understand that a rotten skin is better than nothing when beavers in your land are over. Now you'll probably have to move somewhere else in order to continue trapping beavers for living. Bye!

  • lol!

  • ...But seriously, I know for sure that Nicoalbumphoto is a well-known Montreal misogynist. However, the fact that he liked the poor beaver enough to save him is reassuring.

  • you have a good heart take note how many could have been concerned we are out of touch with everything around us.

  • I've stopped to help out skunks, I applaud anyone who tries to help a confused animal on the road...

  • Thanks for stopping to help this little guy out.

  • Good for you for saving this little guy! Dont listen to them you did the right thing:)

  • There are tons or critters getting killed on that highway, and if anything people, we are to blame since we took over their habitat, build golf courses, again taking over their habitat, their wetlands, polluting the environment with fertilizers that we spread over the beautiful greens, polluting the water table, and where do we get our drinking water from in hudson, just guess?? Ah yes you guessed it , from the polluted water table!!!

  • It was a dangerous situation for everyone, and one that would have been disastrous if the beaver had been hit. A large collision like that, with that density of traffic, would have meant a multiple car accident. Good job shooing the beaver clear.

  • Mahatma Gandhi says you can judge a nation by how it treats its animals - I think this was an act of bravery and kindness. The animal was terrified and needed help - this man got bitten in the process. Cars can be slowed on that hwy with little risk to drivers. Ironic to think that the Canadian drivers zoomed by the frightened creature - national animal of Canada - but a Russian man stopped to help. I applaud him.

  • Well, thank you, The first thing I did was to call SQ from my cell phone, but no one ever came to the scene, Don't you think that a collision at 100 km/h with a 20-pound beaver would be also dangerous?

I managed to slow down and then stop gradually the approaching traffic by waiving my hand, while on the shoulder, and then made sure that the beaver leave the scene towards the woods.. This definitely reduced the risk of collision

  • You're an asshole

  • A human is much more caplable of crossing the road than a beaver. A human can see, and judge, albeit not all the time, but pretty much. As shown in this video.

Now what if that human didn't do anything at all. Beaver probably would have gotten hit, damages to cars ensue (im not sure you fully understand how dangerious it is when an animal get's chunked in your front wheel tire on an icy road, you lose control of the steering, it's not easy trust me)

  • Basically in the end...everybody wins because somebody TOOK ACTION. No dead beaver, no damages to cars, and a human who sucessfully minimized a potentially dangerious situation to cars and the people in them.

Just calculate the odds of each in your head and think about it.

  • Emergency stopping is permitted on highways. The only reckless action was a SUV passing to the right on the icy shoulder. The beaver already crossed the lanes by this time.

  • Okok maybe I put it too roughly, what I meant is even if it was in the middle of summer on the HIGHWAY or FREEWAY cars drive fast and 100km is fast, now imagine people getting their attention drawn towards a human being filming a darn beaver, have you ever watched those documentaries on TV where the police cruiser with the flashing gyro and the Policeman gets run down on the free way, well that can happen to you and cause other more serious accidents, THAT"S what I meant.

  • Basically you'd let the beaver die to live yourself?

  • Humans gone insane!!

    Yessssss!! Of course!!!

    Find a better pusher.

  • That's very f*cking egocentric of you.

  • It's fcking bad how a lot of people think they can kill thousands of animals, and that they are doing nothing wrong. No: I don't eat meat. No: I don't use cosmetics or medicines tested on animals.

How we treat animals is just wrong. If you want to eat meat, hunt an animal down and kill it yourself. How we people do it now is just mass murder.

  • I couldn't agree more.

  • I second, tctopcatboss's, comment.

  • @papick1 you're the fool, he was trying to get the beaver off the highway and save it, unlike you, who would probably run it right over. Fool
