  • What engines are those?

  • don't they pick up plane a bit early from its speed

  • That was a pretty quick take off run for a 747

  • I love Jinnah Terminal and these planes :* Love 747-400

  • @MrCooolies

This is not a -400! PIA does not own a 747-400!

  • @EmadIV i havnt mentioned that PIA 747-400 ;)

  • @EmadIV Well anyway but in general im sayin that 747 class is awesome

  • I Want to be a Pilot, but i am not a Comerce student ;(

  • great work man but make sure to put your ear buds while landing lolz

  • Destonation???

  • god bless america for the 747's .

  • @dabbapeer Indeed. Beautiful plane.

  • Great view of Karachi. I have never been to Pakistan Thanks for posting!!!

  • OO MY GOD I SAW THE ENGINE WAS MOVING LEFT TO RIGHT....WHEN IT TAKES OFF IS THAT NORMAL????

  • @pyasahaina Oh yes, the whole wing bends up as the airplane gains speed.

  • wow i like that shadow on the ground amazing!

  • @DJKaneHtownshuffler that was just cool as hell wasnt it??

  • @jimgreene68 hahaha yeah

  • why is there so much sound inside. the passengers would mess up wwith that lol. it reminds me my childhood days when i took a flight in the great 747-400.

  • My god I miss seeing these machines in the U.S. Unlike most people, I see noise and four engines as a positive aspect, not a negative. The 747 classics, the DC-10s, and the L-1011s will always be my favorite giant jetliners in the sky. There is something magical about them that their descendants just lack...

  • sounds like a rickshaw in the air

  • I like those enignes. Very cool

  • nice video but damn plane look like a fighting plane.lol.

  • Nice Takeoff!!!!!

  • thanx for the upload

  • Nonsense. An aircraft's "age" is measured by the number of takeoffs and landings it has performed, the quality of its maintenance, and the conditions it has flown in, and not necessarily the number of years it has been flying.

Air Force One is about 18 years old, but it rarely flies, is stored indoors, and is hand-washed after every flight. It can be considered "younger" than about any similarly-aged plane out there.

  • pleaseeee my jet in the usaf is a block 25 built in 1985 and delivered in 86 and stills flies great.

  • they need new planes or they are screwed

  • @shamk9 , No their not, PIA having operating the Boeing 777's for like 5 years now.

  • once she gets airborne, her engines start singing in unison! i could fall asleep just listening to that engine melody!! :D

  • man this thng is the beast no comments huh ..dam engines are like roaring clouds

  • pretty quick for a 747!!! karachi is the biggest and most developed city of pakistan and still looks like a desert!!! ohhhh mannn!!! how many years till we can compete with other countries??? we r soooo freaking backward!!!! FUCK CORRUPTION!!!!

  • you pervert come to city first before writing blah blah.

what i can say is barking dogs seldom bites.

  • gaylord!!! i was born in karachi, and i moved to peshawar when i was 11!!!

  • whats true is true man, u can't act blind and lie as if the reality is an illusion!!! u know how developed we r but ur just too childish and immature to face the facts!!! thats the reality!! lying won't help, go get a life and do something to save our country, make it a better place for everyone instead of cursing people on the internet and making useless comments!!!

  • i would still say you pls F off.,....

or come infront of me to tell you WHAT MY COUNTRY MEANS TO ME....

and dont write blah blah!!! i hate such ignominous remarks.

  • you hate facing reality and changing it, to be precise!!!

  • wow quick take off for a 747 excellent video

  • good try,.......i have recorded actually few landing and flying very good videos of different cities specially karachi,....they r in mini dv of the handycam,...if anybody reply and tell me how to copy them on hard disk and then cut those shots by the use of which software,..i wuld like to share on youtube,...i m sure u will must enjoy as the cam got very good result and zoom,...but i have tried my best to copy but ..........failed

  • i like how the brakes come off at the begining. also this was so not at typical-PIA-use-the-whole-runway-for-takeoff- video. light load?

  • dusty brown fields around the runway.... why cant they grow grass & make 'em lush green pastures.

  • those twin engines make me feel safer some how ,

  • The sound was like wow !! never flown since 10 years in 747, just wanna fly that monster

  • Ahhhh, the lovely hum of those quads, true thoroughbreds they are. 747 still cruises the fastest...

  • Awesome!!!!!!! :)

  • God I miss these classics.

  • Yay,that was where I was born,even though I'm German :D

  • 200?

  • where did this flight go to?

    nice vid! 5/5

  • niceeeeeee!!!!

  • what do you expect to hear from the plane itself lol

  • just kiddin; I like those sounds :-}

  • nice video man i enjoyed it

  • great vid mate !

  • nice work, cameraman and pilot :-)

  • when was this video made?? seems recent

  • It was made some years back.

  • Excellent shot! Steady and take off was just perfect!

  • Thats a real nice shot by cameraman ... a nice time to capture ... the best thing was shadow of the plane!!!

  • Very smooth rotation

  • RR power!

  • @skycruiser777

That was a GE. PIA's aircraft are all powered by GE :)

  • @EmadIV that`s a Rolls Royce RB211-511 TurboFan engine ex Cathy Pacific Aircraft now flying PIA !

  • @TheEMS41

Yep I noticed! (The engine cowling).

These RB211s are loud as hell!

  • @EmadIV hahahahahah yes they are but soooooo cool sound ! :-))))) nothing beats a Rolls Royce engine during spool up :-) Stay save !

  • @TheEMS41

Thanks! I think the Trent 800s on the 777 sound best of all RRs. CF6s are quieter than RB211s on all 747s, but PW4000s and JT9Ds are known to be quieter than CF6s. Before the 1990s PW dominated the engines with top quality engines (less noisy, more thrust, etc). Rolls-Royce had its 'reign' from the 1990s till 2002. Now GE dominates with more than 80% of all 777s being GE90-powered (77W and 77L use the GE90 exclusively). PWs are now less efficient than GEs.

  • RB211s will always be the best sounding

  • nice shadow

  • Honestly it was a fluke

  • very nice idea great vdo i like it u remind me of my city

  • the idea was to remind people of nice things they miss
