@ 1:22 those are the air cooling for the heaters we tried to go to that in our plant but after changing everthing over we had to put old water cooled back on it would stabilze temp neddless to say alot of angry bosses haha hey clorox i hate you thanks

Very interesting, this was my area of expertize at one time but now highly technical blow molds are a my specaility. Molds with many in-mould functions such as cutting/punching and forming. Molds with moving parts to form complicated shapes and guess what! Molds made in China to standards I personally introduced with prices that cannot be matched in the west because of the complexity. High quality? YES you bet and it has taken me 6 years to get to this and I am proud of it.

For those of us familiar with this kind of equipment, all I can say is I would absolutely hate having to knock the button out of the cavity on this rascal. Would need a sledge hammer and an aluminum rod four inches thick. My arm gets tired of thinking about it. Give me a little preform mold for soda pop bottles anyday.

So basically, a hot tube of pet is extruded, then grabbed by the mold and high pressure air blows it into the shape inside the mold.
