why wasn't this on the soundtrack?! It's my favorite (well, one of three) songs in the movie! I love how it starts in English and goes into Hindi : ) It truly shows how people so different can come together as one, no matter the racial, social, ethnic, or religious difference : )
Beautiful song and hopefully one day according to that song we shall overcome this fight over ethnicity, because you and me are the same just the skin colour is different. We all have similar organs which slightly vary, we all wear almost the same clothes, we all think about love, family, riches and education, we all have dream and why can't this dream unite us all?
I love this part, because it shows us that whether black or brown, American or Indian, Christian or Muslim, we are all the same. That's why I think it's amazing that this song exists in both English and Hindi. Sure, some guy translated it to Hindi at some point, but it has existed in both the U.S. and India for years without much crossover. This film pretty much changed that.
@FeloniousDrunk I absolutely agree. no matter what happens in the world we all ultimately long for unity and togetherness. this scene depicts that perfectly.
