this look like a vacation compaired to what ft leonard wood looks like were army combat engineers are trained. they aint even try to polish that tard lol just covered it in more tard. they say that army combat engineers are the only ones that shoot at moving targets down range. is that true? id like to kno from someone from the opposite branch if you guys shoot moving targets. i shipout to basic january 10th MOS combat engineer
@frightner24 i've never been to lost in the woods...so i wouldn't know about the comparison...every Marine shoots at moving targets...it's part of our rifle qualification...
It's so weird watching this video. I was a 1371 and I was at MCES exactly ten years ago. I thought joining the corps was a mistake until I went to MCES. Then I loved it. I miss those days. SSgt. Hardy was our class leader. That guy was awsome. Does anyone know if they still do the "FX" at the end?
hmm i live next to ft.lost in da woods and all the engineer training is here including the Sapper course and the EOD tech school. i also know an e9 who went to kuwait with an enginer unit.
That's for the Army bro. I'm in the Marine Corps. This video is for the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer School. If I were to go to Sapper School you are right...I would go to Lost in the Woods...
@kbk1061 Hmmmmm....... I think I remember a time that the marines were also pissed off and outnumbered. Oh yeah! It was in Fallujah when the Marines Corps had to retake the city after they had already moved out and handed it over to the Army. Subsequently thereafter the Army got their asses kicked by the insurgency. Then female Marines did what Army infantry couldn't. They shot accurately. Ah, the shot-sock of the military; poor Army.
i was there in 1998 just like the rest of the corps hasnt changed a bit. and engineers do alot more then find mines and blow shit up. all levels of construction, demolitions, and building bunkers and obsticles. we are the jack of all trades marines oorah
Good video. I was there in '90, MCES< EEIC. MOS1341. Went to 29PAlms then off to Saudi. I remember going on PT out in the woods. I wonder how many of those trails are left. We used to play,"king of the hill" on the piles made by nthe guys in yhe operators class. Be safe and SEMPER FI!
I kinda miss Courthouse Bay. It sucks balls because you aren't allowed to have your own car (not sure about now but that's how it was in '99) and it's a long ass bus ride to mainside, or an expensive ass cab ride, but still fun. Especially the demo range. IronSoldier02 let me say this
"If the Army and the Navy, ever look on heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded by UNITED STATES MARINES"
sweet vid man! thank u for serving! i will be goin to MCRD San Diego on June 15th, '09 and i picked combat engineer as my MOS. how do u like it? could you tell me a little bit about your responsibilities and stuff?
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I wasn't sure what they meant when it read "Welcome to Marine Corps Engineering School Courthouse Bay Camp Lejune NC." I was referring to the Army Sapper Leader Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Douche bag.
We could keep playing the insulting game...but that would just be more immature army bullshit...i said that because some ppl haven't seen it and actually asked me...
i should be going some time around December after i become a marine and complete MCT
