It says 'You've planted you're seeds underground.' I have the lyrics from the song.
It adds: Elya- A True Story. This song was inspired by the faith and courage of Elya Kasper, a young schoolteacher. In 1977 she was condemned by her goverment to four years in prison for teaching her students the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I love silverwind so much their songs are so empowering especially this song..... its shows the courage and strength of one woman who spread the word of god around
It is amazing how much this sounds like "Chicatita" by ABBA. The background music and the vocals are so similar it is uncanny. It is really a powerful song though, regardless of the similarity.
My parents heard this song when they were dating... and they decided that when they got married, they'd name their first daughter Elya. So They got married, and 5 years later they had a little boy.. and 2 years after that they had their Daughter. My older sister:) Elya. I used to listen to this song when I was younger...and I'd play it in the living room... and dance around to it. (: I love my sister.
I love this song!! I guess cause I was named after it when I was born. I just turned 16 years old. Just before my aunt had committed suicide she gave my dad this song and asked him to name his first born daughter, Elya. My parents did many years later after my dad got married. They had a son (my brother) and then they had me and named me Eyleah... They changed the way it was spelt because they wanted it to be more unique and different. :)
What's funny is that I am kind of like "Elya" in this song. I've wanted to be a missionary for as long as I can remember. I have been on many mission trips since I was 10 years old. I love children and have compassion for everyone. I've been helping orphans and street children for a long time and I love it! I don't know what Jesus has planned for my life, but I know that it is special. Just like He has a special plan for your life. Stay strong in the Lord. :)
Yes I loved this song to my daughter Elya is now 20 years old I have an original cassette but unfortunately it doesnt have the words to the song either....She found this on the utube and was totally amazed its an inspiration to her to...
"Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see. = ]." I will bless the Lord? And the one he is no fool, I am I am I am? U hav those two? Studio versions?
@JackJ1957 You know... I debated that one with myself - as the lyrics are not available anywhere.. and what my ears hear, after many listenings is "on the ground" - it may very well be "underground" which would make sense. But, I heard on the ground - so I went with that.
I would love to find some of Silverwinds albums that are not costing an arm and a leg. I would need cassette or cd. I do not have a record player. Any suggestions?

The love that we give to children in the Lord, it never dies, and it never departs from them, neither they from it...
