Hardly a day goes by that I don't think about people's lives being given for my country.

My brother went to Iraq in 2003.

Before that, one of my relatives died in the World Trade Center, presumably because everyone's not Islamic though I'm sure I still fail to know the real reason.

The point is that people in my life are either serving our country or dying for it.

I'm written several poems about the flag and the incident committed in 2001, which has created an empty spot at our table.
