  • Love Gates. His response to Lise's Q. He has a soul.

  • Brilliant talk between two brilliant people! We'll miss you Steve, truly sad that you're gone forever.

  • Bill seemed to give the answers I was looking for. Steve was excited about the things apple was doing at that time because it was and still is advancing faster than most companies. Bill did his main objective. He reached his ultimate goal of what he thought he could accomplish. He's doing more but his main invention has happened. As Steve had more to go as he had an objective different and post what bill had already invented. Steve's brain tools worked better around this time period and bills w

  • You said it Bill. Steve is the greatest.!

  • 9:10 - Kinect.

  • cloud technology will soon phase out all hardware, which sucks, because most companies will go under, and companies like microsoft and apple will remain, because they develop software.

it all sucks, because the market competition will cease, ergo it will decrease the economic flow.

  • 8:19 My-what?

  • The desktop is dead. The laptop soon to follow. Tablets and phones until they alter television. I just don't see tech moving until it's something extraordinary mind blowing.

  • @BMWBiker2

I do think the iPad devices are going to be dominate and that the desktop as we know it will die a very very slow death.

But personally I cannot see myself working with the touchpad keyboards, that is the main reason why I bought a Macbook Air instead of iPad. Dunno how we solve the keyboard issue really.

  • Two great persons.

  • That was so amazing, thank you for letting us see that. Those two respect each other. Crazy to think that Steve is gone. All that energy gone, but maybe not lets hope that 1 Steve Jobs inspires many more, Billy 2.

  • Kurt Kobain is better than them. woot. troll end

  • these chairs must be so comfy

  • It is just So mature of Gates to admit that he loves Steves taste.

  • @oldkidsjonge both of them are profesionals that worked together for quite a while. The bond they have isnt going to be broken by their "rivalry" (which is only rly suggested by the fan base of each of the companies) even though it seems like thats wat they were doing. In actuality, and im preety sure both of them said that earlier in the show, they are helping eatchother get higher and higher as the 2 top companies in the world. The idea or "rivalry" is rly just a fan base thing for marketing.

  • I agree with Steve,it's hard to make predictions

In the 50's they talked about flying carss...but who needs flying cars to travel with the Internet blogging, video conferencing, text messaging?

10 years ago (5 from this video year) they were predicting pen sized PC with with holograpich keyboard and screen...we now have Ipad, tablet pcs, iphones and smartphones

Ironically I daydreamed about watching movies on a Page sized device 31 years..now I have a Android tablet that can actually do it..lol

  • love, love steve and bill.

  • Steve Wozniak 8:03

  • he always wore that black shirt:) rest in peace Steve

  • Once we can intergrate the post-PC devices into our body, do you think anyone will be scared of where it might lead? Imagine a cell phone/mp3 player, IN your ear, with corneal implants that project the interface on the inside of your eye, where everything is controlled by your mind, alone-- without a mouse or keyboard... If that ever happens, we would eventually become machines, because I'm sure we'd find a way to 'improve' all the natural functions of our body with technology.

  • @983215ljhlkadbspig6y

ready up on ray kurzweils theory of singularity.

  • @983215ljhlkadbspig6y Imagine all this in-body tech stuff you describe being hacked into remotely by anon or corrupt governments! Scary!

  • Thanks for this great interview of these two phenomenal, ones-in-a-lifetime personalities one the same stage. I can see that when they both mentioned about their vision of future generation technology, the future products were already in making it atleast worked on. Steve carefully avoided mentioning the" app "ecosystem when he said post-PC era gonna revolutionize.

He also kinda mentioned about IPad. Bill is very down to earth and simple person with great humility.

  • Both are such gr8 incredible people, I still do think i like Bill a lot, his humility, extraordinary intellect & how he touches people's life through his philanthrohy all make him a wonderful person. Thanks & really enjoyed watching this

  • These men in this video and #10 are still conducting an interview even though it's an audience question and answer session. They could talk all day long on this stuff.

  • Steve and Bill are the two greatest persons of the last three hundred years, more intelligent than all the Nobel Prize winners. They have character and respect each other and love humanity. They have created more jobs for the people of the whole world than any ten people put together. May Steve rest in peace.

  • Classic and epic. One to watch 5 yrs later :)

  • Amazing. So inspiring. Love looking back and knowing every time one of them said something, they were talking about iPad, kinect, and maybe even Siri a couple times there.

  • Thank you for putting up 11 videos of two great people of the computer industry. One of the best videos on YT

  • Comment removed

  • 10 years from now :,( .......I'll always remember you jobs R.I.P

  • Steve had the better answers, Bill kind of talked about imaging things that he has no clue of making or designing. Bill tried to plan things out, while Steve was just taking shots in the dark.

  • @mglandrover

If you think about it, especially one of this "in the future" devices Bill talks about is all about using 3d and space as a interface. And about 3 years after this M$ released the Kinect to the public, wich does exactly what he talked about! I'm not shure about this, but it seems like they where developing that technology at the time:) But i have to agree, Bill is more of a classic nerd compared to Steve... Steve even flirts with the host a little bit :p To bad he's gone :c

  • @mglandrover How exactly did Steve have the better answers? I listened to two men who have remarkable talents and whose knowledged meshed with each other, and who both praised each other and even kidded each other. This interview wasn't about "oneupsmanship", it was the sharing their respective histories, and bringing forth much of what the world didn't know with regard to how they view each other. Many people think Jobs is an angel and Gates is Lucifer.

  • Twin Tech Titans of True Tenacity. No words can describe the vastness of the pool of inspiration these two have left to flood the world. The only tribute I can think of fit to honor their way of life is to fight even harder to be the change in the world I want to be. If not you, then who? And if not now, then how?

  • What a wonderful series. Thank you for putting all 11 segments up. Two giants of our time probably the best legacy of the Baby Boom generation that may off set our selfishness when our grandkids start to judge our generation's legacy.

  • No one comment about how great Bill Gates is.

  • RIP Steve..!!

  • Well, I didn't find DVD version but I found a very interesting article at All Things D site: Steve Jobs’s Appearances at D, the Full Video Sessions

At least I can see the entire interview without any interruption. :)

  • Is there a DVD version where I can get a copy of this interview?

  • did it have to end? :(

  • 2 great men, who in history will be remembered for changing our world for the better....period!

  • 8:00 - Bill has an awesome vision. Steve has no imagination. -_-

  • @greeneightball your an ass

  • @samadbaksh it's true. i'm an ass. but it's true

  • WTF! I watched Parts 1-11 and no mention of Nolan Bushnell???

  • a lot of love here

  • They got really lucky: they got to be really rich, and have it all for their minds to explore. Now it's just people scrapping for control of what is basically a meaningless social networking experiment originally funded by the government to invade privacy.

  • One can't help but have hoped to see what the world would be like if they had combined their efforts early on, Bill Gates (software engineering) and Steve Jobs (design sense/ user based approach) into one organization.

Micosoft + Apple could've been even more revolutionary than each of them have otherwise become.

  • I'm glad that this moment in history occurred... whoever organized this event has provided a great chapter in technology that will resonate throughout history.

Also seeing the cordial discussion between two titans of this industry pre Steve jobs death does a service to his memory.

  • It's really sad right at the end there when he says he can't even begin to think what it's going to be like 10 years from now. Now he'll never know.

  • This was one of the hardest things for me to watch because I have so many questions that I wanted to ask Steve one day, and now I will never get the chance. It's also weird that the last thing he said was, "I don't know". I don't think he was referring to having cancer, but isn't it weird that Bill had an answer and he's still here? It's like fate wouldn't let Jobs answer that question because he's not going to be here in 5-10 years. Steve was my hero. Rest in peace, Sir. :(

  • A big lump in the throat......despite the popular perception of Steve and Bill being at loggerheads or dislike for each other what this shows is a genuine admiration and affection for each other. Bill calls Steve magical(referring to his design sense) and he's absolutely sincere and Steve says many great things about Bill in as sincere manner. Though this is not a one-upmanship it's easy to see why Steve is mourned world over.....he's a passionate Visionary! His insights are mind blowing.....

  • Bill says cool stuff. But Steve really has amazing answers.

  • Why do people keep taking Steve's words out of context? When he said he had no idea about what's gonna be out there in 10 years it's not because he knew he had cancer but because that's how it is. You don't know what you want in life, you take what you have now and work to make it better day by day. Life is one of those things you can't plan ahead.

  • Steve said it very well have a passion 4 what you do because your not going to love it everyday & be able to size up people re: their talents and gave the taste that makes what you do a service that really helps or if a product which will already have one in your own mind w/ others than like Msft make everyone ur gunieau pig in the digital experiment that ends up line windows cube a frustration as apple depicted so well on its apple vs PC ads.

  • Thanks for uploading these 11 videos. They're awesome! Steve and Bill are legends.

  • Rest in Peace- Steve Jobs...

  • Bill called Steve magical!!

  • Steve's last answer is hard to hear. I was hoping Steve left apple with 30 year plan for the future, and I'm sure on a non-specific level he did. But to think that the last of his specific insight at apple will run dry in the next year or 2 is really sad. Hopefully he left a grandiose plan for the iPhone 5. And at the 2020 apple keynote I hope to hear something along the lines of "...one more thing...before Steve passed he began R&D on mobile hologram projection...I'd like to show it to you now"

  • @CrossCoastGaming That would be epic, in it's true sense of the word. It's interesting if you look at their talk together. Steve does convey his way of viewing the evolution of the industry. If you step back an really listen to what he's saying you can see a peek into the future. I'm sure and hope his team picked up some of that vision.

  • @CrossCoastGaming Steve didn't create everything you see from apple, that's a guarantee, so i cant see apple running dry anytime soon, apple will continue to grow over the coming years and i say that the windows PC will be a thing of the past , but that's just my opinion

  • @Jason16Lynch I must disagree. What you think will happen with apple is happening with windows right now. Just look at the jump from XP to 7. OS X has been the same for the past 5 years. Besides that people are getting cheaper by the minute so the steep prices of Macs will drive them away. And windows is just better. Maybe not at everything but they are better.

  • @CrossCoastGaming That's a "wow" moment you just described. That would literally be a world-changing revelation. It would be amazing...

  • I WANT TO SEE PART 12-()()!!

  • IT ENDS HERE!!!! FINALLY

  • Thank you dear sir for uploaging this, huge life lesson

  • An incredibly important upload for all of us - thank you Kenzoki, and THANK YOU STEVE & BILL. Imagine what Steve can see and know, now that he is in the arms of our Savior and among all those in Paradise. In his own words - LOOK FORWARD, let go of the past.

  • Steve Jobs was an awesome american icon, someone we could almost relate to. Bill's kinda like a cold and distant all-powerful yet aging god surveying us mortals.

  • @ezzyboyful YEAHHHHHH THUMBS UP IF YOU WATCH MOVIES..... oh... shit

  • Thumbs up if you thought that was Wozniak for a second ><

  • @RoflyouareMAD lmao!! that milisecond i saw him appear on camera, i so thot it was him too!! lol he soooo looks like him!! lmmfao!!!

  • "I'd give anything to have Steve's taste"

    Nice props from Gates.

  • Thumbs up if you hate comments that say thumbs up

  • Who is the last person to ask a question during the Q & A? He never gets introduced at all by himself or by the Host. At first I thought it was Steve Wozniak, but if that was the case they would have made a bigger deal about it.

  • I'm so sad, Steve Jobs will never announce the transporter :(

  • i can say that i did not understand the majority of this full interview and the tech stuff discussed but hearing these two minds talk, whether u understand it or not is so beneficial in ways i cant describe. they are both heros and remarkable people

  • Thank you for uploading the full interview. I saw it first in 2007. Now it seems even more important and prescient. Bill clearly described Kinect and Steve was avoiding talking about the iPad. Steve probably knew he had cancer, so sadly he couldn't look ahead 10 years. It's sad that we have lost such a great mind. I was touched that Bill honored Steve's judgement about PEOPLE, & the human interface as well as his taste. Steve's reference to "The Long & Winding Road" was heartbreaking. RIP Steve.

  • @1worldboi Steve's song reference was actually to the Beatle's song "Two of Us". Also, in the beginning of the interview he mentioned that he'd had a reputation in his twenties for being the leak inside Apple ("ship with a hole at the top"), and he made it clear that wasn't going to be the case now. That's why he continually refused to speculate about five or ten years out; he didn't want to divulge any Apple plans.

  • why are both top comments exactly alike??

  • I love that Bill recognized Steve's taste. Both these men are legends, but sadly the world is a little dimmer now with Steve Jobs. RIP Steve, you will be missed more than you ever imagined.

  • Amazing to see how both these guys just "get it." They see the world in ways, I don't think, anyone else can.

  • America just lost it's edge. Time to move on and see what happens.

  • This was just amazing. Both of them are legends. RIP Steve Jobs.

  • I watched the whole videos from part 1 - 11 then find a comment about how terrible the woman did and thumbs up to it :P

  • 3:16 - the way Bill answer's the question by referring to Steve as always thinking of people (and making "people-driven" decisions) almost makes me cry. You realize this guy cared about something more than just technology and money, and I come to this conclusion after sitting here on my Windows computer watching hours of this man's words on youtube. I am getting to know him way too late, but I hope like me many will do the same as it is PEOPLE that matter. Love and People. R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

  • This series was such an interesting insight to BOTH of these minds and how far we've come. Anyone that thinks or thought that Steve Jobs passing was only as deep as a delay in the iPhone 5 should watch this series. It almost saddens me that he won't be able to see what's next and be a part of it here on Earth.

  • Awesome series, this should be MANDATORY study in all high schools everywhere. There's more life learning in this hour than in the last 3 years of school combined. And it shows how if you want to be successful, be a contributor or developer, not just a User....

What's interesting though is that noone mentioned speech interface in this entire series as far as I remember, which is the most natural of them all... viz. Star Trek....

  • Thank you so much for uploading these videos i enjoyed watching them and appreciate it i watched every single one of them I will miss steve jobs alot and found a few parts sad just thinking about him and bill and there friendship and how hard it probuably was for bill Thumbs up if you agree :)

  • Every product sold by Apple should include $5,- funding for cancer research.

  • first question is stupid buddy...if your only in it because you want to be a billionaire then your gonna fail...bill and steve have a passion allmost obsession with computers and how to make them better not oh lets see how much money this is gonna make

  • iTransporter

  • Thumbs up if you are writing comments using your iPad while watching this through Apple TV

  • Thank you Kenzoki, it was awesome to see the two of them together and to learn more about them and of their genuine regard for each other.

  • At this time Jobs may have known his cancer wasn't entirely cured. He dodges the question of legacy. Maybe he didn't want to give the public (or press) any hints about the danger of his mortality, or maybe he didn't want to think about it himself.

The last question, asking about the the future, is particularly sad, watching this today.

RIP Steve Jobs. Thank you for everything you did. And thank you for opening up so warmly in this interview.

  • @lightspeedtoyourface Steves legacy is Apple. He never wanted it to be about himself.

  • Comment removed

  • We now know that Steve Jobs was planning (but couldn't say) on the iPad, iCloud & Gates was working on Kinect. It's touching when they talk about themselves as colleagues., especially Jobs saying they have "memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead."

  • Me 3, but it's really cool to see the 2 greatest computer geeks ever to be allys. I can't wait to see what comes in the next 10-15 years! RIP Steve Jobs, I did this on your iPhone. Lol

  • Me too.

  • I sacrificed my sleeping time for watching this and I can say it was worth it.

  • just sat and watched the whole 11 parts ... thanks for uploading

  • thanks kenzoki for the video, it really boost my motivation

  • This was fantastic! Thanks for sharing this!

  • Excellent upload, so valuable now, what these guys had done and saw for the future back then - Jobs and Gates were pals, competitors yes, but how else do you get to excellence unless it's through drive of a high level of competition and at times, synergy ? Thanks kenzoki

  • Yes, a big thank you Kenzoki for uploading this. It's insightful to see these two sit down together and give their perspectives to the same questions. Thanks alot.

  • your upload, 4 year's ago, is unfortunately a must to see today. Thanks a lot.

Of course, questions are not so good, especially the girl, but, anyway, what is important is the answer. Steve answer is very humble, and real, and he had live it, being fired from his own company at 30 year's old. And make the come back we know all. R.I.P Steve, I had some tears looking at these 11 parts.

  • @Kenzoki LOVED watching. Thanks so much for the upload. :-)

  • the audience asked infinitely better questions than the interviewers. Every minute or so you hear that bitch saying something completely out of place.

  • high order bit...

  • I love that this are just dudes in America that had some passion and focused it into a business.

  • i love the PC and hate the Mac..... but man.... im going to fucking miss Steve Jobs =(

  • Someone whack the bitch in the head with a keyboard.

  • @ezzyboyful every person who love computer and electronics should watch the full interview :) i did! amazing kenzoki thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing these! Quite extra ordinary guys, being so persistent following their vision. Engineer and visionary. Rest in peace Steve.

  • Well it seems Obama's Jobs recovery act failed.

  • Kenzoki, Much appreciation for sharing this video! I thoroughly enjoyed it. [RIP] Steve Jobs

  • I hope Steve passed away when he was happy and satisfied with life.

  • What's the difference between cancer and a black man?

    Cancer gets Jobs. : D

  • Magnificent set of videos very interesting and they were correct most of the time in there predictions on the future

  • Thanks for the tapes They are great.

We will miss Steve Jobs vision.

I am as thankful for Bill Gates vision as well.

  • 1:58 - 2:11 thats what she said

  • Good stuff!

  • Thank you so much for uploading and sharing these videos .. God bless!

  • Thank you so much Kenzoki! a great watch indeed, couldn't be more happier with any alternative.

Two greatest Geniuses of our generation, incredible how they view the future and Alas, we are witnessing what they envisaged and foretold.

  • Thank you very much for uploading this video.

  • I seriously doubt bill gates is a time traveler. And Steve, he will never know what will happen in 10 years. Felt sorry for him. RIP

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • Its true 65% are baby boomers on the net, Facebook, etc it was reported not sure how accurate that is but close

  • the sad thing is he never got to see what it will be like in 10 years :( R.I.P Steve

  • This was quite enjoyable to watch. Thanks a lot.

  • Can I love them both equally? YES.

I have a PC that runs Windows and I have an iPhone that I'm using to watch this video. Cheers to both!

  • Thanks for the upload.

  • Thanks for uploading this sets of videos... I really enjoyed viewing..

  • R.I.P steve. i honestly think steve is more outgoing person then bill. funny guy! :)

we love you steve..for not just your inventions. but you as a good person.

  • I think apple dedicate iPhone 4s for steeve. iPhone 4s = iPhone 4(For) "S"teeve

  • so long steve. iSad.

  • Mind blowing R.I.P Steve

  • Kenzoki, thanks so much for posting all of these. Truly a privilege to watch these two guys share their beliefs, history and intelligence with us. As others have said, just sad that Kara and Walt did such a poor job of interviewing.

  • It's sad that only now I am smart enough to see the true genius in Steve Jobs.. after he past..

I never really liked him as a man, but I really love his mind. This man will remain in history as one of the most influential people in IT. R.I.P. Steve Jobs.

  • Este video sera parte importante en la historia de la computacion ojala lo traduzcan para que muchas personas de otras lenguas conozcan esta conversacion , STEVE R.I.P

  • Thank you for sharing all of the videos! They are two inspiring people that already have affected that way we live now.

  • Damn.

  • Just watched all 11 videos. Thanks for the upload Kenzoki. This was a historic moment, not only in technological history, but history in general. 2 of the greatest minds in business & innovation share a stage & enlighten us with a little insight into how they think. Their legacies are even more valuable than their companies & the products or services that they provide. It's a shame that Steve Jobs has passed on, but his influence on our world will live on forever. Rest In Peace.

  • after watching all these video i realise steve voice kinda like saul goodman voice on breaking bad LOL and RIP

  • This was a mind opening lecture from two of the greatest minds in history. I just wish they had better interviewers. Thank you for uploading this. R.I.P Steve Jobs. Thank you for all your innovations and your great presence on society.

  • thank you, kenzoki. nice to watch this to memorialize steve jobs today.

  • Bill = Left brain, Steve = Right brain

  • Two genius. Great video. RIP Steve Jobs

  • Was that last question from Woz???

  • Thumbs up if you just watched all 11 parts.

  • Thank you Kenzoki

  • Bill is a step ahead of Steve, that being Steve is harnessing the power of the touch today while Bill is already developing the surface computing you can see in kinect where the camera becomes your controller instead of the screen or the keyboard. Too bad Microsoft is more of a software company than a hardware company.

    RIP Steve! Great Job

  • 9:10 ish, kinect again

  • Thanks Kenzoki for the upload... Steve Jobs will always be missed for the revolution brought by him in the tech world ....

  • wish we could go back in time to save Steve ...

  • Thanks for the uploads Kenzoki....and thanks Steve Jobs and Bill Gates for shaping our lives in a positive way. R.I.P Steve Jobs.

  • Steve Jobs died on Oct,5,2011 RIP

  • damn i breathed out so deeply after this ended :P

  • RIP Steve Jobs

  • Warning at the end Bill hints at computers taking over XD

  • thanks a lot kenzoki :D...really really appreciated the upload :D
