1400 will be the msrp, the hf s100 will sell for about $100 less and makes a lot more sense, then you have to figure that in a month or two the street price will drop to around $1000, which is reasonable for a camcorder with an awesome sensor.

the "features" like 4 sec grabs are just lame gimmicks for people who don't know what to do with their money.

Pretty cool.  I still think that $1400.00 is a bit much for a home camcorder.
