  • Nice Ig.

  • well my cage is alot smaller than this one but my iggy is just 1 year old and i am thinkining(when it gets igger) to build her a bigger one

  • they are so cute

  • damn dats a badass iguana da cage aint dat small and ya atleast u let him roam around dats good...... haha dam haters

  • the cage is fine if you let them roam really is just a place for them to shit

  • Beautiful. They seem quite happy and healthy. When they are that docile and large, it means you (the owner) are doing something right. Nice job :-)

  • She's adorable!

  • That cage is too small

  • and youre an idiot. 5 seconds into the video you will see a note right in the center of the screen pointing at the cage that says read the info before commenting on the cage. you fail at life.

  • they need bigger space, and tree

  • read the info.

  • eh is there a reason to why they nodd there heads up and down like that? like are they trying to say sumthing or ???????

  • its territorial. im in their space and they want me to know that.

  • jessie likes to eat poop bahahhahaha

  • hahaha yeah when they are babies they eat that or shedded (if thats a word) to help them digest food.

  • Aww, that's so cute! X3

  • thats a retarded name for a iggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • your too kind

  • I

    LOVE

    IGUANAS!!!!!!

(YOU TAKE CARE OF yours REALLY WELL!)

    The coolest iguannas ever! lol

YOU should check out my igunana video, theguy. The girl iguana, (iggy) is invading the boy's (rocco) privacy, so it bobs its head, and it just so happens to go along with the music! lol

  • i got the same dog cage for my ig. he uses it as a bathroom but he still makes a mess. and he climbs on top when he goes to sleep. i think its okay to have a cage, just not to live in 100% of the time.

  • right on brother!

  • uh, im a girl... once again, who says girls cant love reptiles? i have 3 iguanas, a corn snake, a ball python, a savannah monitor, and i had a bearded dragon and a water dragon. plus dogs, birds, crabs, fish, rodents etc. i dont believe in just collecting them, i love and spend a lot of time with each of them just like ther my children. and i hope to own a pet store some day. but out of all animals i have to say i love reptiles the most.

  • hey are you a noop?? that cache is not the right home for a iguana...there need a terrarium!!! look my video

  • Ok right next to the video is all the info on y i have that cage. so no im not a NOOP whatever that is. look at the video and shift your eyes a little to the right.

  • Got one att 11 months myself. Great and funny animals. I have a huge flag on my living room wall. She just won't leave it alone :)

  • wasn't bobbing their head's some sort of aggresive territorial thingy?

  • not always it is also a way of them saying hello they arent always trying to be aggressive (contrary to popular belief)

  • i love how they bob their head. My iguana does only at the same time of the day and rarely. its cool tho. Shes getting more and more tame. I try to pet her everyday. check my clip out of her whipping

  • hey man how long did it take for them to trust you and how long through the day would you spend time with them

  • umm not long. they had a previous owner rather than living in a pet store. ranger took several months with me spending about 2 hours with her. easiest way is to hold them while a movie is going that way they get the attention and u spend time with them.

  • what does it mean when she noded her head??im thinking of getting one

  • its like warning them that the other iguana is invading their space.

  • ok so it has come to my attention thati know nothing about the gender of iguanas because my male just laid eggs lol. Ranger is a female now guys lol

  • u should get a bearded dragon. i have 6 of them and an iguana. some of my dragon are around $500 but u can get them for $60. I just breed really nice ones so they expensive. My iggy is nice but it took over a year to get him that way.

  • Well, I REALLY want an iguana OR bearded dragon. I should be getting one in October (my b-day) if I keep up with taking care of my dog. ANWAY... What iguanas like? Are they friendly? How big can they get? Is it easy to train them? And which is better... An Iguana or a Bearded Dragon?
  • stupid kid come on me and i gota fuking you mother noob pobre iguanatener q vivr con este imbecil, fuk u mother EMO! T_T

  • ok...there are so many hings wrong with what you just said. i think the biggest one is u seemed to speak 3 different languages in one sentance? what on earth are you trying to say? and who calls people mother emo? if you dont speak english very well type it in your own language. i will get it translated...you mother emo....

  • Rofl

  • Lilly's absolutely gorgeous. I love her color of green, she must be very healthy. :p

I'm trying to convince my mother into letting me adopt an Iguana. Tell me what the benefits are of keeping one, and also the troubles?

  • the benefits are pretty much the same as any other pet. the troubles are cutting its nails when they get too long, buying all the materials for the cage (once you do that your pretty much set other than replacing bubls.)and they need lots of attention. upside is they can be paper trained or litter trained. litter boxes only need water so its help get rid of the smell and its easy to clean.

  • listen guys is an indescendant light bulb neccesary in an iguanas terrarium or is a LARGE heat pad that is under everything (no danger) and that will keep the heat level even enough?

  • not sure what youre asking but if u actually read the info like it said u might get you answer (not trying to be rude) but there is NOT a large heat pad under ecerything its only about 5 inches long. yes its necesary and yes it keep the temperature even.

  • i am saying large as to if its compared to how big the vivarium is it takes up more than half of it..... thats wat i mean by big and bdw thank u

  • Good Iguana!!! I have a Iguana too!!!

  • I'm thinking of perhaps getting an iguana; there's really no way of telling the males apart from the females when they are babies, though, is there?

  • its near impossible. heck even as adults its pretty tough.

  • lol Lilly is funny

  • lol she is! shes a sweetheart too.

  • how much does the iguana cost itself?

  • not sure my friend gave it to me. i think a place near me in spring texas sells them that big for around 200

  • Where I live(Ontario canada) They are about 40 bucks

  • you can get babies for $15 here.

  • I wish I was your Iguana.

    That is somehow sexy... :D

  • Well then from this day forward you will be known as my iguana! *hugs* i love you!

  • that iguana is soo cute.. i want one!

  • well hey if u happen to want to drive to houston texas then youre welcome to have ranger. lol you will love him.

  • LOL... i should book a flight rite away =P

how do u get them soo sweet?

I wanted one when i was a kid but my older sister didnt like them... someday i would get one

  • awesome! see you soon! lol they are sweet mainly because of the time i spend with them. i had them locked in the cage for a few months to get them used to crappin in there instead of my bed or the floor. after that i kept the cage open and let them run freely. they liked that. i handled them at least once a day every day. i get them when they are big so its easier to handle them and keep track of them outside the cage. basicly i just hand fed them a few times and now i dont even close the cage:)

  • Haha.. was it hard work?

how long have you own them?

I want a big one .. so i can cuddle it...

I love how wild iguanas are soo amazing in their habitat..

I remember i had small birds and i cant really leave them unsupervised because they like my little treasures but i do let them roam around a secluded part of my home at that time..

  • ranger was a real project but lilly got comfortable real quick. its normal for the females. i have had them about a year and a half. i would like a bird too. preferably a macaw. i know they are vicious but it just makes them that much better to own because a vicious animal that can take your fingers can enjoy your company. people who break in would have a bad time lol

  • LOL XD

  • and by cage im referring to the huge one i have not that one in the video.

  • Did she come from her cage to your bed?

when the Iggy sleeps with me it is the cutest thing in the world.

  • yes she did! lol

  • Here is a cute story! Lilly just crawled in bed next to me and went to sleep!

  • I herd Wheatgrass (in small amounts) is good for iguanas too

  • Hmm havent tried that! i will look into it.

  • that is the cutest thing in the world

  • thanks man! you should see my video called iguanas rock! there is more of this in there.

  • nice head bangin lizuuurrrd u got there my iguana does that when he sees his reflection lol

  • ahah very nice rocker iguana:)

  • she's beautiful

  • thank you so much! shes my favorite out of the 2. dont get me wrong i dont give her special treatment but there are a lot of children in my family like nephews and stuff. shes friendly and ranger is not. hes friendly with me because he knows me but the kids make him nervous. Lilly is a real family kind of girl. she wont bite but isnt rambunctious at the same time. I guessu could say her character is my favorite but i love them both the same.

  • oh ok ill email yuu one wot is yur email or msn? x

  • aww i lovee the name lilly i got an iguana two days ago but im not sure if its a boy or girl yet but if its a girl im callin it lilly nd if its a boy im callin it frank lol i think its a boy so iom callin it frank atm lol x

  • lol its hard to tell what it is at a certain age but if u want to email me a picture of it i might be able to help. also i thing its butt is closer to its legs if its a boy. i could be wrong.

  • lol and its awesome that you want to possible name her that. frank is an awesome name too. too bad ranger is used to his name lol

  • you could even tell if its a boy or a girl by the way it sits can't really explain it but theres these pix on google that show you, sorry lol but i totally 4got where i found it, google it or something u'll find it!

  • ok thanks xx

  • no problem, bye! =)

  • I've been raising iguanas for 20 yrs and u can't tell sex until they are at least a couple of years old. Males have a row of large scales along the inside of their back legs, larger dewlaps, cheeks and dorsal spikes. They also tend to keep their bright colors longer and often get a lot of orange coloration. Females often become noticably more drab in appearance.

  • its weird in my case. its almost all the oposite. i would think i got their sex wrong but once they guy had eggs i was like wait a minute!

  • they have a ton of space to run around in. like the video info says they run around freely in my room so they can keep their distance. sometimes they do hang out together. sometimes sleep next to each other. but like all women lilly just sometimes wants her space. lol

  • how you keep them from not fightin

  • but why are u keep'em in cage? terrarrium is better for them

  • read the info.

  • not for my iguana of course

  • dance dance dance... my one is doing the same if i keep camera in my handz.

  • hahaha its fun isnt it!

  • jut a question, those giant white circles on the sides of there head, what are those?

  • really big scales. they're also sensitive spots so if they trust you enough and you pet them they enjoy it. think if them as whiskers.

  • lol camera shy... good video

  • haha he realy is! he doesnt like taking pictures so i have to wait until he opens his eyes and snap it real quick! thanks for the compliment!! you rock my friend!

  • How do you train it to go back in his cage to take care of buisiness and I finally put videos, but it's not iguanas!

  • i put them in their cage for about 3 months (look at the video called Iguanas Rock. i did not house train them with the small cage. the larger cage was on its way)i would bring them out after they do their business and spend time with them. holding them feeding them letting them crawl and climb on everything. when that was over they would go back in the cage. i did this for 3 months and they got the idea. not too different from outside training a dog. iguanas are smart.

  • thanx for the vid

hey do you know about what size an indoor cage should be? i live in a condo and cannot provide an outdoor cage

  • depends on the size of your iguana. my cage is 6ft long,3ft high, 3ft wide. i also have them house trained so the cage stays open and they know only to do their business in the cage. i hope this helps you. if not we can discuss it more.

  • hey, can u look at my iguna and let me no if he/she is healthy??im asking u because u handle a larger iguana and u have more experience than me...ur iguana is beautiful.

  • thanks man! and sure thing i will take a look. im assuming u have a video or soem thing?

  • She?? I'd guess male with all that head bobbing. (notice that I did NOT blow you shit for your cage size..:) )

  • yeah i got weird iguans. their characteristics are backwards but she is definitely female. she was named louie but then became lilly.

thanks for not givin me crap. im glad you actually took the time to read my short paragraph! you sir freakin rock!

  • give love ur iguanas :) its a nice pets

    i loving iguanas <3!

    Lily =P prety iguana ^_^

  • thank you! shes very pretty. very kind too! she gives kisses when you hold your hand out.

  • Wow they have a playfulness of a dog or bird.

  • yeah lilly (head banger) does ranger is the kinda lay back and chill kinda guy.

  • hi Lilly <3

  • haha best comment EVER! you should soe my other video. she is so cute!

  • Is that bulb inside the cage?

  • yeah i moved it.

  • Theguy, are you a member of IguanaZone? I think I remember seeing a few of these vids from posts over there. Just so you know, my last few posts were addressing a post made by another member...heh...not pickin' on ya for your cage size, I know it was temporary. :)

  • what iguanazone???i would love to join =)

  • We can be found at iguanazone . org

  • thanx man ull be seein me on there

  • thanks man at least some one gets it! lol :)

im not on iguana zone tho. i think my video was linked on there tho.

  • No problem. Feel free to join us. We've got lots of friendly, knowledgeable iguana people to answer any questions you might have...or you can just come shoot the shit with us about your igs. We like swapping stories too. :)

  • Hi A2Z, I read all your posts and it's nice to see people giving good advice about raising iguanas. So many pets die inthe first couple or three years because people love iguanas looks but don't learn their habits, needs or how to take care of them. I'm definitely going to check out iguanazone! My male iguana is 17 yrs old and almost 6ft.

  • Hey what going on i also have a few iguannas yes they do lOVE banannas have you ever tried spring mix walmart and othe food stores carry it

good luck =) mine are 5 yrs old

  • na man never heard of it. what is it?

  • it lettuce all baby (young)greens

  • ice berg lettuce has no nutritional value so i avoid giving that to them.

  • right that is the worst kind to give them

  • yup. its like us eating chips for the rest of our lives.....which wouldnt be long lol

  • Yup, lettuce is like potato chips, but some of the spring mixes out there have the baby greens in them, so they make a good addition to the other stuff. Pleco, just make sure you go easy on the bananas. Igs love them, but they contain a lot of tannins, which inhibit protein absorption. They're great treats though.

  • collard greens are prefect for iguanas. occasionaly i will feed them banas which they go crazy over. very rarely do i give them water mellon. its good for hydration but its got lots of natural sweets in it so its a good treat but even once a month would be too much.

  • some of you people scare me!!!!!! 90% of you need to do some serious research on Iguana husbandry.

  • lol I like lily my iguana's name is rex he's an eating machine eats like a monster!

  • yeah mine eat like crazy. you feed them and you swear its the first time they have seen food. i feed them twice a day too lol

  • Is the light on the bottom of the cage his UV light? Its covered with plastic.

  • can u pot a full size iguna in a 65 gallon tank

  • iguanas will grow according to their environment. those in the wild can grow up to 4 ft long. my boyfriend lets his roam around his room and she's grown to around 2 ft.

  • This is a myth, iguanas do not grow according to their environment. It is 55-gallons minimum, for a baby, and that will only last about 6 months if the ig is being cared for and fed properly. The reason 55-gallons is the minimum for a baby ig is because that is the minimum size that allows proper temperature gradients.

  • Also, iguanas in the wild grow well-beyond 4 feet in length. They should do so in captivity as well, according to their care and genetics. My male ig, Hercules, is 13 years old and is 5'8" long. He weighs 16 pounds. His habitat is 8'LX7'HX4'D.

  • your not supposed to. According to many keepers adult iguanas need a cage 6X3X6 feet.

  • nice video....

  • is that a bird cage is it easy to look after one iguana

  • If you do the research on how to properly take care of one, and your prepared to build a huge cage when they get older, mine is in a 7ft tall 5ft wide and 3 1/2 ft deep cage and I think I should add on to it soon! It takes up half my living room. Feed it right and it will live for a very long time.

  • i have excplained this i dont know how many times. that cage was temporary (like 5 days max) until i got the huge on in the mail. go watch my other video. you will see it in there.

  • Actually, the iguana head banging means "This is My territory" and to prove their dominace iguana's like to be as high as possible (above) the other iguana.

  • thank you, bill is poetic.

  • When my Iguana headbangs he does it in Trees, I think he's trying to look kike a leaf in the wind.

  • lol you have a very poetic iguana lol leaf in the wind. i like it!

  • Like does it ever try to bite you. when you hold it or just pet it.

  • not lilly. ranger does if i go away on a trip or something. ofcourse when im gone i have my sister take care of him so he grows fond of her and when i come back hes like "why did u leave me you jerk?" and he will open his mouth at me. it doesnt take him too long to calm down tho lol.

  • this is what he is saying between head bobs...

get...the...heck...out...of...my...way...hay...hay... hay lol any ways cool iguana!

  • so cute my iguana has a wierd little dot between its eyes, and my iguana is 1 1/2 feet long so its little

  • The uv rays will not travel through that plastic cover on that light ficture you have.

  • i had 2 iguanas and one was four feet long and the other was three feet long ...but they died ...so am thinkn of buying onother one this weeken so am goin to ask u a question do u think my iguana is goin to die on winter because of the cold but i have that light thing to make them worm the thing that i dont get its that mine steel died should i get an iguana or not because i really like them a lot .....

  • i live in texas so our winters get cold but not enough for snow or anything. i would suggest getting a heat lamp, a uv lamp, a uv florescent light, and a heat rock. it keeps the entire room pretty warm and if they get cold they always have a place to go.

  • ooo ok thanks a lot ok

  • lol, they are beautiful

  • why thank you! :)

  • What these circle things iguana have near there mouth?

  • as far as i can tell they are just scales.

  • haha he kept doin a headbanging thing just put a little metal music at those parts that would be funny

  • i mentioned a few times that the cage is for basking not living. i think when i said that all the other comments pushed them to another page. this was about a year ago when they didnt get along so i just had the door shut at the time. if u watch my other video "Iguanas Rock" you will see them walking around on my floor with a second cage that also stays open. thanks for being one of the few that doesnt freak out man lol. but seriously check the other video out. its better and funnier

  • just a heads up. for all you guys. i just got this stuff that i have never seen before that you spray on the iguana's skin to help them shed and keep skin from dying out. its supposed to help them live longer too. im taking it for a test drive. if any of you use this or something similar to it let me know how it works! thanks guys!

  • it works, dude. I use it on all 20 of my iguanas

  • you mean thers a skin eating virus in spray cans? man are we smart.

  • its not a skin eating virus...it's a vitiman and mineral spray that helps them shed. You can also let them swim in the tub to help lift off the dead skin. The idea is to not let the dead skin stay, bateria will attack it and can cause infection.

  • i have two iguanas and when the bigger one sees the little one it moves it's head up and down.

  • haha yeah mine od that too. check out my other video called iguanas rock. i join in on some of that head bobbin action!

  • Realy cute Iguanas! :D Funny when Lilly head-bangs! ;P

What does it mean when the Iguanas do that btw?

  • its a sign of dominance. even though shes on his territory she still says "im the boss" but shes all talk. she never does anything about it. if you see my video called "Iguanas Rock" you will see ranger just walk right in even though she is head banging.

  • Okey, thanks:) Thought it was something like that.

I´ll check the other video out...

  • ooo. your iguana live more in house than cage? my old iguana did that he only went in cage when i aint home or night.

  • yeah i used to do that but i ended up being away alot for a while si i just let them out all the time. at first it was a problem but now things are ok. by the way Christian Exodus is and awesome name! keep in touch man.

  • thanks

  • My iguana its on a smaller cage...but its always open, only goes there to sleep, feed and warm up, the rest is going around my room doing...nothing, heh.

Awsome iguanas man...hope mine gets as big as yours some day! It looks like you put effort and love to them.

  • man i care about them more than anything i own. my room is hot and humid and they love it. i hate it but its good for them. after a while it grows on me.

  • I´m really sorry for my comment, I think I answerd to fast, before I knew how your iguanas really live. It´s not easy to see that on the video, my problem is, I´m afraid of people who keep their iguanas in small catches. But now I know how yours live. Sorry again, and oh well your iguanas look healthy and big !

  • nah man its my fault. there is no way you could have known. i was just sick of ppl thinking im being cruel to them. the only reason ranger looks so miserable is because thats his "oh crap there is that woman again" pose. he likes her but she gets very territorial when hes around. mostly head bobbing. once that happends i keep a close eye on them. any way dont be sorry i over reacted so im the one thats sorry.please forgive me man.

  • he runs around my room as he pleases. i dont like keeping them in cages. i just need something for the clamp laps to hold on to. u dont have to be rude man. i know how to freakin take care of them.
