  • So, what's it gonna be?

    "Pint."

  • 99% of drink drivers watch adverts like this only to go out and commit the offence anyway. It's not that they don't know what could happen - it's that they don't think it'll happen to them, and probably get a kick out of breaking the rules. Adverts are ineffective on such people, no matter how shocking they are to everyone else.

The only course of action is to make it as hard as possible for them to get away with it, and catch as many as possible in the act before the worst happens.

  • Good advert but it won't make any difference. It's not like people who drink and drive don't know it's illegal or that it comes with risks. They know full well, but are just the type of people who either don't care or like get a kick out of taking the risk. The only ones who take adverts like this seriously are the ones who wouldn't drink and drive in the first place.

  • best drink drive advert ever

  • ....so what's it gonna be? a pint of whisky please. Thank you.

  • @toni2pies hahahahahha

  • After seeing that perverse display, I'll have a double whiskey!

  • Pint of Guinness please mate.

  • Charge drivers with manslaughter for causing death by dangerous or drunk driving. If you agree, please sign this UK government petition. If it received 100,000 signatures it will be debated in parliament. This is not just spam - a drunk driver killed my friend last year. Thankyou for reading.

  • what's it gonna be? ....... Pint

  • You don't get a criminal record for drink driving, It's recorded on your license for 10 years then it's expunged. The Acting is impressive though!.

  • pint please mate.

  • just woundering if you got change for a tenner. lol k thx :]

  • The Lee Mack parody of this is hilarious.

  • 10 double vodkas please

actualy 1 sec brb, not sure i locked my car.

  • ermmmmmmm.....i.ll have a milk

  • ‎"Look, you've had 2 pints you over the limit. Thats a 12 month ban and a criminal record. It's company policy, we're going to have to let you go,"..."I don't care if there's only 20 thousand miles on the clock, that's my final offer"..."Oh that's just great! No liecense, no job!, now what!!?".....So, Sir. What will it be?...........Pint.

  • pint please mate

  • wow...just wow...such a happy, care-free man, walking into a bar - that SO relates to real-life, and thats probably how it would start

fantastic actor, amazing talent, voice talent, well done for keeping his face

  • @00gazvanim hahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • This advert just made me really want a beer.

  • so what...it goes like:

    police, breath test

    guy at prison office, sentence

    boss firing the guy

    ???

    the guy distraught

whats the second 2 last voice-over?

  • @00gazvanim The one where he says "I know theres only 20,000 on the clock"? Thats the guy trying to sell his car, because he can no longer drive. The 'salesman' is offering him a low amount of money for his car.

  • @2491cc oh rite kk ta

  • yh, i'll have a Carlsberg please :d

  • He did all of the voices live, no idea how many takes it took, but it's defintely not dubbed.

  • "So whats it gonna be"

"Errr half a pint please iam taking the bus"

  • laddish

  • and still it goes on, i'm just wondering what it would take before people finally realised that drinking and driving dont mix.

  • this ad tells all lisen to it no one gets arrested killed or anything and anyway if you did get catched then the police would arrested you because they are trying to stop you from killing yourself lisen to ad and non of this will happen

  • Would you mind stepping out of the car and doing a breath test?

Look, ye had two pints, yer over the limit, thats a 12 month ban & a criminal record.

Hey, its company policy, I've got to let you go.

I know theres only 20,000 on the clock, but thats my final offer!

Oh, thats just great! No license! No job! NOW WHAT?!?

    So.... whats it gonna be?

  • "Sir do you mind steppin' outta the car and doin' a breath test.

Look, you had two pints. You're over the limit, that's a twelve month ban and a criminal record.

Ey, it's company policy. I've got to let you go.

I know there's only twenty thousand on the clock, but that's my final offer.

Oh that's just great, Matt. No license, no job. Now what.

    So, what's it gonna be?"

    Foster's please mate.

  • i go on sickipedia too!

  • hehe you got that from sickapedia. i used it for one of my videos.

  • One of the voices sounds very much like the late Harry H. Corbett. The one saying "no license, no job, now what?"

  • excellent advert, highlighting some very valid and relevant points. the acting in this is great, there was no dubbing involved - the actor's movements alone validate this. just seen the ad on tv in the uk again, you know when it's christmas here!

  • @borskin

You're absolutely right. This guy is no ordinary actor. Probably a graduate of RADA or something like that.

  • Ive just seen him on an old bloopers show im 99% sure it was him. trying to find out now

  • This add is a lot more effective than the old ones showing horrible car crashes; you never think that will happen to you and they just make you look away. This add makes you think (no pun intended) about the consequences, which is a great deal more effective in my opinion

  • Great advert, Love the police part. Dont know who the rest are supposed to be LoL

  • " So, what's it gonna be?"

    " I'll have 18 beers please."

    :)

  • ha ha ha! XD

  • What a tosspot of a barman

  • should it be "if drank, don't drive"?

  • No the correct English is (by your method), if you drink, don't drive. 'Drank' is a past tense and it would be grammatically incorrect :o) "Don't drink and Drive" just gives the message a lot clearer, more impact and to the point. Plus it sounds better too.

P.S. I was born in Hong Kong too, I know all these past, present and future tense can be confusing :o)

  • should it be"if drank, don't drive"?

  • i think it should be "if drank, don't drive" right?

  • loook youu've ad tu pyntss haha

  • Haha thats awesome! I wish we had these ads in New Zealand.

  • fosters please

  • ha!

  • this is a very soft campaign when you compare it to the Northern Ireland one DOE Drink Driving Road Safety Ad

  • ummm....I applaud the reasons behind the campaign but somethings occur to me about this

    1) Is the barman psychic? How does he know the guy isnt coming for a coke or a packet of nuts? The guy could be a designated driver.

    2) What barman tries to stop a customer from buying a pint? I bet his manager is pleased with him stopping all the custom.

God I have thinking bout this far too much. I need to get out more.

  • coke and nuts D:

  • the harold steptoe impression is awesome

  • can someone tell me who the actor is

  • look it up on imdb

  • that is an insane advert, its so clever and the actor is very talented

I love tHis ad and i hope it stops people from drink driving !!

  • whoa, great commercial. impressive acting

  • Yes I thought the Actor was very clever how he changed in the advert. - I wonder how many 'takes' they had to do of this ad!

  • He probably just mouthed it, and they dubbed the voices in after.

  • yes you could have a point there
