in the US you usually start high school in what we call 9th grade AKA "freshman" when you're about 14 years old going on 15.

Reading all these comments make me laugh. All the freshmen dont worry, highschool will be good for you. Just be positve about everything. This is where you all find out who you really are, what life is all about, and who your true friends are. I Love freshmen and I'm a Junior. There are good and bad people, you just have to find them. Keep an open mind, you might be friends with people you would never expect. Enjoy this while it last.

Back when I went to high school. Our school which was built on small hills and was also three stories, had the worst scheduling you could imagine. It was a workout getting from one class to the other. At least we had a seven minute passing period.

on my first day of high school i got up really early, made myself look as cool as i could be, kind like an indie emoish kid with a messenger bag (2006), waited in my living room, the bus came 10 minutes early and i heard it so i ran out my front door not realizing it had rained the night before and i ran down a grass hill, slipped, and fell on my ass.....

i'm pretty sure everyone has a first day of high school cliche moment. lol

Aww, I'm sorry Ally. To tell you the truth, I felt the same way my freshman year. By next week, things should be better, that's how it went with me. Oh and btw, whenever any of my friends talk about hating freshmen I remind them we were once freshmen and it didn't feel so nice when upperclassmen talked like that to us.

aw ally, im sorry that your first day kind of sucked. my high school goes from 7-12 grade, and elementary school is 1-6-imagine how MY first day was. i remember it so clearly, it was horrible cause i had no friends in lunch and was walking around the cafeteria aimlessly =/ now im going into my senior year and i can't believe it.

i hope the rest of your week gets better. by the end of this week, you'll probably be well adjusted :)

i dont understand that at all- lunch is one of the best times of the day!

my school has 1 story but is spreads out soooo far-we started last wed.

and im a junior this year

we get 7 min. passing per. and if you know your way around them you have 5 min. of talking w/ friends and 2 min. to get to class

so it works out perfectly!
