The game is on the easy side, but some monsters need to be attacked before you use the brush,you can't beat bosses with just slashing.

And you also get other 13 techniques other than slashing.

as he explains. you play as a god who lost his powers. at the end of the game, you will get all POWERs of a god,

examples are. making trees,rain,snow,fire,thunder, basicly all elements.

let me ask you, have you ever seen the movie

"princess Mononoke" its an anime.

The forest god in the movie, hes basicly very alike Ammy in Okami, everywhere he gose it blooms. hes like a wandering jesus :D

This guy put me to sleep he made this flawless game seem like a freakin bore. He can't play it either. This is one of the best games I've ever played. Top 3 I'm talking. "It's really cool it's a lot of fun" Doesn't sound fun to me when you say stuff like that... ughh everyone who hasn't played it yet just listen to me. This is as good as these kind of games get. Buy it. I guarantee you will be amazed. Over 30 hours of game play. I kid you not!

I'c like to add to the answer to the question for the person who wanted to know if there was any new content in the wii version. other than the fact that Clover shut down ( :( ) it is mythologically impossible for anybody to make another okami Game because, in this one, they covered all of the japaneese (i know i spelt that wrong) mythology. (ior atleast, that's what i've been told)

well,some enemies are immune to this attack,but you can use them when they are weakened(you will know what I mean when you play the game). and you don't have infinite ink, so you can't do it over and over again.

this is a basic thing to do, but you can draw other things to deal damage like wind,circle,infinity...etc

um... actually no, you can attack by shaking the wii remote,you use the drawings mainly for finishing enemies off.

and it is what makes the game unique and fun!

well...yeah, playing as a wolf makes the game look boring and the story simple, but in fact its the complete opposite!, its a great long game (30+ hours) with many things to do in it, and many people to meet and skills to learn, and the story is great with many twists.

it may not look like it but it may be one of the best games you will ever play!

seing that guy play and hearing him messing un Ammy's name just makes me hate that guy... it took him the hole video to beat that yelow imp...the wii version sucks ass...the ps2 version is the best version,its much more easier to control the brush and all that guy used was the slash ability...why didint he use the reflector to finish that imp much more fater and when he said one of the harder figures to draw...a crcle ...i thought...man the wii version must really suck

Why do you say that the Wii version of Okami sucks? Because that guy is dumb and he doesn't know how to play? This makes no sense, you know.

The differences between the ps2 version and the Wii version are only the controls, and it's doubtless that the Wiimote is WAY better than an analogic stick (for the brush, of course), while the other controls are pretty much similar. It's like drawing with a mouse instead of a keyboard!

I've completed the game on PS2 ..And I'm not really impressed of how it works on Wii.. Sure you can make great lines.. But the circles are better at PS2 ..And the light is just not really greater on Wii than PS2 it's way too sharp to look good enough :S

Rented it today and I really wanted to like this version (COOL!!! I can paint with the Wiimote) but the PS2 version has a better player interface.

Right off the bat I had trouble doing simple brush gestures, like the simple "Power Slash". Man, if a simple horizontal line is difficult, just image trying to gesture the more complex brush strokes like the "Thunderbolt" or even the "Cherry Bomb".

well you an draw a horizontal line by pressing Z instead of A, that would make the power slash work(it will also work if you draw a line rapidly using the A button.

and the cherry bomb is very easy to draw actually; the game is forgiving and doesn't ask for perfect drawing.

I've played thru the tutorial level and I know how the brush system works on the Wii version. But since I've already played the whole game thru in the PS2, it's just not as responsive as PS2's analog stick.

On the PS2 version I can rattle off 3 Cherry Bombs in quick succession, 1-2-3 BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! and follow it up with a Lightning Bolt with out missing a step. On the Wii I'd be lucky just to get one Cherry Bomb off.

The learning curve is a lot steeper on the Wii version, especially for those who have already played the PS2 version.

If you've never played this beautiful game, get it for the Wii or PS2. Games like this are few and far between. Clover Studios R.I.P.

If you've played Okami on the PS2 and need a reason to play it again, get it for the Wii.

I'm sure you won't have any trouble drawing cherry bombs in succession ; the power slash is the only stoke that is hard to perform because they expect you to be fast.
