Dangggggg i play bassoon(begginer) and im not even that good that is a beatiful piece i like if i could i would make it my ringtone u have alot of talent i love bassoon so much i hope i canbe that good like u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
... skipping the ENTIRE opening ritornello because... well, just because, I guess. It's only a over a minute long, dude, and it's not like Mozart was verbose. :P Hummel I could understand abridging, but Mozart?
Love the aggression and ornamentation, though, a lesson a lot of bassoonists could stand to learn. Could use more focus.. a rounder embouchure, tighter in the corners of the lips, would help tremendously..
Cadenza's strange. Borrowing from the Rossini concerto?
some bassoons have one more key than others. it just lets you play higher. my bassoon is missing the top key also, and i cant play above a high D :\ it just depends on the model of bassoon, i guess.
There is lots of good stuff in this performance. I loved your ornamentation, tone quality (for the most part) and overall creativity. Articulation and phrasing are different issues, both of which threw off your tempo a lot at times. Overall though, I think you're a really good player, and I really enjoyed this video!
This is in fact the only KNOWN 'soon concerto the Moze compsoed. Other than loving the sound of the bassoon, I know nothing about bassoon. But, I did listen to a 2 hour special on KUSC 91.5 (Los Angeles, the radio station of the University of Southern California, Trojan radio). They stated in a nutshell, there are other pieces floating around out there that some claim to be authentic Moze 'soon pieces, but the expert always disprove them in one way or another.
It's not actually a poster, it's just a little graphic I made in MS Paint by cutting and pasting off the internet. If you like, I can email it to you.
I thought the cadenza was very creative. I liked it.

I quit band because I didn't have the time to attend all the recitals...and I'd be playing bassoon if I had my own bassoon but I don't...
I miss it.

The pianist needs more practice. IT is very good altogether, especially the bassoon.

Hey, I play bassoon too, beginner though.
I noticed you have one more key on the thumb side of your tenor joint than me, could you give maybe an explanation?

@danaemarie483
Have a high E key? Try these fingerings for high Eb/E/F:
Eb: oxx/xxo, Left thumb C#, right thumb F#.
E: same as Eb + high E
F: same as Eb + left thumb A.
Worked like a charm on my Fox Renard 240. :D
