Can you play something other than SRV? Just so I could get a better listen at its other sound dynamics. Have you played a reissue Vibrolux? Does it sound the same as this one?

If this is anywhere near the custom shop Vibro-King he is only scratching the surface of this amp's sound. I think the Vibrolux is the "little brother" to the Vinro King reverb. But Fender makes so many different amps it's exhausting to keep up.

Point to point wiring done by hand, not a printed circuit board, also the circuit itself was redesigned, and not for the better.

...infact it sounds very diferent...actually I had one and wasn't made of a cheap circuit board..mine was half wired..but still it sounded different...it also had two 10 speakers...

no the reissues don't sound the same, they don't make a reissue. the vibrolux custom is a completely different circuit. grab a Silverface vibrolux reverb before the prices start skyrocketting.

I would consider the Deluxe Reverb or the Vibrolux if I were you.  Princetons aren't quite loud enough to be heard over the full mix unless miced.

I got this 45 watt 2x10 Fender Vibrolux Reverb from a church and the guy told me it didint work so he gave it to me. The case was eaten by termites so i mede a new one and put the thing back together, it worked more than perfect and the sound is just incredible. I cant find any info in the web about it and i havent seen any other like this one. I think it may be from the 1950's because he told me it could have been the firs amp the used back then in church in the 50's

Blackface is pre-CBS take over (1964),the front of the amp was black,not silver like the one you see. They fetch quite a bit more than the silverface, but I've played thru a 68' Vibroluxe and it sounded great-but LOUD.

I compared my '66 blackface with the re-issue. To my ear, they weren't even close. This hiss on the re-issue drove me nuts. If you can't afford the blackface, shoot for an early silverface. They sound great too. Be prepared to put in some bucks to bring it back to spec.
