IMO, I think it's live with the exception of a few parts. I think, since this was all choreographed prior to the show obviously, they knew she'd need the breaks for certain parts. But you can definitely tells she's singing live most of the time, because it's her natural deep singing voice, not the processed shit.

Here's what I have figured out. Britney doesn't actually lipsync (at least in the past.) She sings to a backing track. Her mic is on but the volume is turned down very low, almost to the point where you can't hear her. I've seen a few videos where she's said "thank you" at the end and you can hardly hear her, just like in this one. This version was probably recorded to sound live, but obviously she's not really singing. She can sing, she just can't sing while she dances the way she does.

Well, it's certainly worked for Britney. She's the biggest selling female artist of the decade. Britneys true fans will always be there for her and make sure she maintains such heights in the charts.
I really can't be bothered to argue about this anymore because well, my stats just show that she's brilliant and she has a more dedicated fan base than Lady gaga, Whitney or Janet

Britney is amazing. I have been a big fan since 1999. I don't care if she sings or not, because she is a great performer. The haters need to back off her. Britney has been through alot the past few years, and yea she made alot of bad mistakes, but she is still the pop princess and always will. The Circus tour is amazing, I am glad she is performing again. Luv u Brit. Keep the hard work up.

You say she'll never be great again? She's came back with the highest grossing tour of 2009. A parallel number one album and single and also has been given the Teen Choice Award for being the Ultimate Choice, all within the space of 8 months. Saying she'll never be great again shows how unaware you are of the fact that Britney is still just as great as she ever was and is still showing all her fans how amazing she really is. And do you actually think it's her choice to mime? I think not

Well, that's your opinion, I can guarentee that if you were front row at The Circus Starring Britney Spears, You would not be disappointed because, yes she was miming but she made it a spectacle and an amazing night for everyone.
On my way out, I actually heard a couple of different people ask their friends "Was she miming?" The response to which was a "DO you really care, it was amazing". To which the 1st fan said "I didn't care at all, it was the best night of my life"

I'm sorry but it doesn't matter whether she sings or not because (and some people won't like this) she is a musical legend. Granted, this isn't in the same fashion as Michael Jackson or Madonna but people pay to see Britney entertain, not sing. She can lipsynch an entire concert and still have 100% of the audience walk away happy, unlike most

Here's what I have figured out. Britney doesn't actually lipsync (at least in the past.) She sings to a backing track. Her mic is on but the volume is turned down very low, almost to the point where you can't hear her. I've seen a few videos where she's said "thank you" at the end and you can hardly hear her, just like in this one. This version was probably recorded to sound live, but obviously she's not really singing. She can sing, she just can't sing while she dances the way she does.

I don't think her costume was meant to be a copy of xtina's, I think the costume was meant to portray a referee's uniform.
She did kind of copy xtina on the circus thing, but the circus theme for xtina was more about the jazzy/30's style music, rather than the circus theme. For Britney, the circus theme is sort of a metaphor for her life, and the music has nothing to do with the theme.
