@JonEngland Thank you so much sir. I am indeed enjoying the music, but it's your personal rendition that makes the difference; I can promise you that.

Wow you are just amazing!! I'm pretty good too and i cant read music, i do it by ear but im not even as half as good as you! Just wanted to say thank you, whenever i feel down or deppresed i listen to you play and it makes me feel better! so thank you :) keep up the amazing job!
Thank you for your appreciation! I'm glad my music lifts you up... you can get the MP3 now at iTunes, Amazon, Napster and Rhapsody etc. Just click on the links in the 'video description' box and ... keep on playing; Jon

Mr. England,,you might not read music, however you are a master as a pianist,,, never have heard better. Your talent is amazing,,and thanks so much for sharing your talent and and music. RWB
practically speaking - I don't know how to do that.... you see, I cannot (do not) read any music, so I'm not really sure of exactly what I'm doing - so it would be a little difficult to show anyone else! sorry. I guess, just "watch my hands", would be the best way... jonengland com
Great stuff Jon. Very moving arrangement. I love the improvisations you add here and there. Are you inspired by Liberace by any chance? :)
Also, I like the mellow sound of your pianos. May I ask what is the full brand name of the piano? I remember you mentioning somewhere that it's a Yamaha but it doesn't have the distinct bright Yamaha sound.
Thank you very much for your appreciative and perceptive observations! Liberace certainly is/was one of my favourite piano performers; his technique was brilliant and hugely popular; Carmen Cavallaro was also very influential in the development of my 'style'.
The pianos (both this one, and the 'white' one featured in other videos) are Yamahas. I prefer the lightness of touch for which they're famed (versus the European 'giants' Bosendorfer and Steinways etc).
No problem. It's very rare to find pianists who have such "clean" technique if I may call it. It does come from experience of playing many songs rather than "practice" doesn't it? I myself also play piano by ear, cannot read a single note and was never taught like yourself so I realize that that observation kind of applies :)
Anyway, I'm actually surprised that a Yamaha can produce such a beautiful not too bright sound. Do you know the exact Yamaha model name? (ex, Yamaha C6 Concert Grand)
wow you are absolutly brilliant!! i love your music! but, no offence i think your arrangement of the song has too many bells and whistles i thought the music was brilliant as it was without anything fancy added too it. but, you are still a brilliant musician no doubt about that.
I was thinking about that, asking myself if maybe all the chords turned into rolls made the music too busy. I certainly think it's not really true to the original piece. Nevertheless, i think if you judge his interpretation without trying to compare, it is truly amazing. If you would allow me a small comparison. Mr. England reminds me somewhat of Kenny G... He often gets criticized for making his stuff too busy as well, but i don't care. It's still awesome music, and i personally love the rolls.
aight erm...well this was really quite good, however i agree with Mehdi and i think it is rather overloaded and the main melody as slightly lost. I could never play like that in the first place but thats my opinion. nice vid
I play the piano myself, I look up to you!I realy do! I see you're enjoying every note you're playing, I like the way you give the songs more colors. You're AMAZING!!!
I'm greatly flattered - thank you for your kind comments and observations. I'm sure that when you reach the pinnacle of your own talent - players and audiences everywhere will look up to you too, but for now, keep looking 'down' (at the keyboard!) and the admiration for what you do will surely come - thank you again.
hi jon. me again. lol. youre very great. th emoment i heard your piece, seemed like i was taken into a different dimension. you are very good in involving your audience to the music you play. keep playing. much love
magnificient... this simply song is transformed into a masterpiece with so much depth and feeling. the way you play reminds me of the flutter of a butterfly, intricate yet graceful and light. you sir are the master... and i salute you ...
Wow - you are VERY kind and generous with your compliments - I always try to perform a melody as if it's being sung with the words - perhaps this is why it 'connected' with you..?
