I just picked up a 34lb wahoo last Saturday slow trolling for dolphin out of the Florida Keys. Hit a naked ballyhoo and on top water at about 2.6k rpm. Was a shocker to hook up! He ran hard on me for about 10 mins, then swam to the boat. Was great on the grill that night!!

The offshore drilling rigs that are out in the gulf really make for an interesting environment with the horns that go off each moment or so. You can hear it in this video. Wonder if thats a good area to fish... anybody know?

its very good because it creates structure for smaller fish...which bring in bigger fish, go about 200-400 yards off of them and try fishing for tuna...chum to get them around you... hope this helps
