I'm American myself and I just want to say to my fellow Americans - both pronunciations of "aluminium" and "aluminum" are correct. It varies depending on your accent. And I know that Australians as well pronounce it the British way too. So I think the American pronunciation may be the least used worldwide.
p.s. I prefer the British pronunciation - I mean they say it how it's spelled.....
my isight wont video tape...only take pictures...and i dont hav the aluminum...only the regular macbook...is there any thing i can do to get my isight to video tape...plz reply soon!!!
u do know the way british people say it, is THE RIGHT WAY to say it.lol. the way we say it is in queens english, im guessing your american, so you say it your way, in terms of american english, so in america you would be right to say it that way, but in true english, the way its supposed to be said, is the way british people say it. thats not me being patriotic.lol. its FACT
@NICKST3R182 The historical context is that a journal publication in 1808 initially called it alumimum, but it was changed to aluminum and finally aluminium after a range of debates amongst scientists and writers. The Americans also called it aluminium until the mid-19th century, but a major producer of the metal, Charles Hall, referred to it as aluminum in a pamphlet (people aren't sure if it was an accident or on purpose), and because he was the major producer, it became (in the US) aluminum.

Suppose it's better than buying an HP, having it come faulty, die, get downgraded by HP's support then die again and have components removed (all two deaths were due to faulty mobos.)
Then, you enter a competition and win an HP Dragon laptop, top of the line and have THAT ALSO COME FAULTY, cracked case and more to find out that HP's support is closed on the only day that you have a moment to contact them.
my case is cracked hehe, it least it still works. I going to have a contest with my brother whose can last the longest. I am sure he will break his macbook pro so no worries lol. the only problem is when I touch the bottom the graphics card gets pissed off.
The sad part about mine is that the actual processor chip, at the time, was worth well over $2,000 - the guts of the system are great but HP slacked out the outside and ESPECIALLY the drivers - they're HORRIBLE and slow everything down, so I can't use my touch controls or fingerprint reader =(
yeah, well at least it is not as bad as mine. my webcam does not work, speakers are dead and shit, I use headphones only, and hitting the bottom cause crazy colors all over the screen with a hissing sound. as long as its still it works well for photoshop.
msi gx-620. well it was an ebay, so I can not correctly rate the thing. the power is great, but almost everything else is shit. might get a mac, but maybe much later, if I buy a mac now it would be worse than this, so I am like screw that. wait tell the 9600m gt is outdated. or when nvidia makes the 9400m stronger.
I think what would be good with one of your review video's is to tell people what software comes on it. Like iLife 09 (or 08 when u got it) and things. I think most people know though.
ye i know what u mean, but in the first video i just mentioned that this laptop comes with ilife and leopard pre installed, i could mention those programs but i will not review them, there are other ppl better at reviewing such programs, and know them better than me.
Yeah, I am a mac user, but why the fuck is it so hard for other companies that make WinPC laptops to get a decent image quality out of a built in camera!? Apple have done it for years. The next thing for Apple will be iSight HD and by the time that comes out, WinPC manufacturers will only just be figuring out standard decent quality built in webcams.
its really hard to find a good Pc laptop, although I still hate how they keep making it thinner. I want a durable laptop that has okay specs. my netbook is durable but it has no power. I can web browse and watch dvd's but that is about it.
When i buy a PC laptop I look for one without a webcam built in. I have bought laptops and I just have my QuickCam Vision Pro and it works better than anything built in. HP/Toshiba/Acer/all other laptop companies need to have better built in cameras and mics
yes and no, yes but i have no choice as i was busy at university, and no because the new 13.3 macbook pro still has elements of the old macbook which i have, therefore a review still makes sense and is still partially relevant.
I LOVE low-profile keyboards, I've been able to get a record of around 127 words per minute on one, plus the feel of tapping the keys is much better xD.
deffo agree with you on the isight, its superb. nothing matches it. ive been through a lot of dell's in my time and the cameras on them were nothing compared to what apple use.
where can I plug in my microphone jack in mac pro 13 inch ? :s

i have seen all the reviews up to this vid and they are really good reviews keep it up man.
i own the last gen macbook pro 15inch matte finish and own a 15inch macbook pro unibody and that thing is built beautifully!
Apple did a really good job but they should've made the matte finish optional for all the unibody laptops not just the 17inch.

Totally agree with ya, my HP's built-in camera not only came faulty but sucks in res anyway.
christheferal 2 years ago
they have webcams that are superior to mac cameras, you have to spend at least 1000$ to get a decent one.
