Nice vid - wow Kobe is so convenient to Kyoto and Osaka.. It seems kinda crazy how easy it is for you to skip across to see those great cities all beside each other, and have beer with other YouTubers no less! I love how you put together the vid, and I have never seen bon odori before. And yes, I would get a cut from Welfare hair salon but only for a number 1 buzz cut... and I'd ask for a discount.

Last night I actually went to my neighborhood bon odori...in my little "apartment village"! Now that was cool...he old people I see everyday...loaded drunk and dancing :)
It was ok for a short stay. We ate, hung out for about 45 minutes and then moved on. I suppose that`s why it was only from 6-9pm. Now the Himeji Matsuri (I made a vid about) was a full day`s worth of loin-cloth-wearing fun!! hehe

actually, there were many foreigners taking part in the dancing. Several were wearing Japanese yukatas as well. I took several shots, but my camera doesn`t take good video in low light....so i didn`t use that footage!

I love bon dances we actually hold a lot of bon dances in Hawaii :) but in japan it's much more festive
