WiMAX kicked off in 2003 AND IS STILL NOT IN MY AREA!!!!!! Eight years in tech sector time is the rough equivalent of 2000 regular years LOL. LTE (twice the bandwidth) was developed and deployed overnight and it's ubiquitous. WiMAX was dead before it was even rolled out.
