linux (not just my interest in the show) died when bryan left - no, srsly. I'm super cereal. I MISS BRYAN. I'll be using windows till his potential return.
I've watched this show for a long time now, Alan seemed to be somewhat nervous at first, but he has been more comfortable and i think he is doing a very good job now, I like it!!!
Hey it would be great to see another Jupiter Backstage now that your full-time, either on this channel or your other one! Really enjoy seeing how you make all this post-production magic happen and gives us an appreciation for the hard work you put in... Plus I'm a tech geek and love to see the gear and how you use it all :)
@jupiterbroadcasting I think Chris and Allan make the perfect pair for hosting. With them, the show is still geeky; however, just a little more grown up. With Brian gone, the show seems -110db different. That makes a more pleasing experience.
Chris and Brian are both awesome. But together, it's too much off a good thing. Like eating a whole key lime pie. Thanks for the service guys!
@jupiterbroadcasting well, the LAS show sucks now without Bryan. Just an FYI. you may cry and whine that it's Bryans decision and blah, but I'm merely telling you the result: this show sucks. It's reality.. Sorry, I'm not even going to bother spend 1 hour watching this show. It's only Bryan that made me watch it.
@GWLordCaleb agree with Chris, read Bryan's website and it's been addressed on the JB site, other people have "left" too, Bryan is busy with his own App software business and a long running comic strip,
other members have been offered "payed" jobs elsewhere, you do realise Chris and the gang do the daily broadcasts for next to nothing and they have lives outside and other obligations, i too miss Bryan's commentry but Chris and gang are still doing a great job and trying to please everyone :)
Allen should reposition his webcam so that we could see right into his eyes. Am thankful for Ubuntu and VLC project, that makes average user migrate to Linux, stay there and love Linux.
I've said it once, i'l say it a million times. Mint rocks.
only bad thing if there is one, i don't like the default menu or Software Manager look think they are bland. and software manager currently in Min 12 is slower and buggier then past, wish they would incorp a App like store setup instead.
otherwise, hardware/codecs work out of the box, ATI graphics far more stable then in the past, network is recognized in the live without needing to set anything. Audio is on by default now (not muted)
@ReceivedFiles I'm experimenting with keeping it simpler, to see if it appeals to the broader YouTube viewer. I've been thinking, all that extra stuff in the title might turn off someone browsing search results, etc.
Plus I put LAS and the season info in the episode still.. So it's a bit redundant in the title?
@jupiterbroadcasting umm I can see where you're coming from with catching other viewers. Maybe just LAS instead of The Linux Action Show! and skip the episode and season in the title. I don't know, you'd have to trial it and try a few variations hitting keyword titles would certainly help though.
@jupiterbroadcasting Hi Chris. I second keeping the show initials and episode number in the title, so that the title of this upload would be "Thankful for Open Source | LAS s19e21". I think it would make it easier to browse your uploads than it is to look for this information in the thumbnail. Also, the find feature of our browsers only searches straight text. :-)
Thanks for all your hard work! LAS is one of the most consistently thoughtful and informative FLOSS shows I've ever seen.
@jupiterbroadcasting The "s(season number)e(episode number)" tag in the title was very handy for searching though :( Maybe you could put that in the tags?
Guys, you got totally wrong what zRam does!

I along with many other viewers have been faithful to this show and corporation for a long time. And today there are only two things I ask for.
1. Where is Bryan?? Is he coming back?
2. What really happened to make him leave?
Please Chris, don't delay these comments anymore!
Please thumbs up this comment so he can see it

@GWLordCaleb It's not that I am not answering, it's that I've already answered this question many times, and am just kinda drawing the line.
1. Check is blog, I can't link it here in the comments. It's his last name. He wrote a post there.
2. Check the Jupiter Colony for a thread that both he and I have commented on.
It's just simply he is focusing on other stuff. I think people think it's odd because it was sudden, that's just how the B man rolls.

ClearOS is a good SmallBusinessServer, why not give it quick look. It helped my class look at linux servers and setup own gateways!

@jupiterbroadcasting LAS should be present, you make a lot of shows, and separating them is definitly good!
YouTube is my preferred platform because I can get new shows and new vids neraly instantly and on a common window (I follow a lot channels.)
