We may not know when viewing, but NLCV manages to fit broad comedy (ie farts, etc), satire (acid in law portraits) and black comedy (cat electricuted) all in one entertaining 90 minutes. Its got something for everyone: extremely funny, low brow, sophisticated and entertaining. I for one will watch it after being satiated on nutcracker sweetness movies this holiday season. P.S. When Chevy is not mugging he actually was a very good looking dude then.

Uncle Louis (the guy with the 'rug') is my favorite ---he's hilarious without trying to be funny. This movie is one of the best comedies of all time.

I don't recall that line either.. and when you watch it a million times, you know the lines... But I also find in a lot of trailers, there are parts in it that aren't in the movie. Check out a Home Alone trailer, perfect example!
