thats weird, the first time i saw/smelled a durian it smelled nice to me. sure, the smell is a tad strong, but other than that its okay. i dont eat the fruit though, most of the time i prefer durian ice-cream, pancakes... or mooncakes! if you want to try eating the flavour of durian, i'd suggest you start with these first :)

1. Everybody is different, meaning while one might think it smells, others find it heavenly

2. People get "used" to the smell of Durian so that to them it doesn't smell at all!, not saying that people will get "used" to the smell of shit, but that people will be able to tolerate it more.
