Frinka007, true, so many people say vtec is always on with a killer cam, their wrong, the toda killer camshaft completely eliminates the vtec function and replaces it with extremely aggresive camshaft
Dude, they say that because it's as if i the car was running on the high cam the whole time. these cams don't have a vtec lobe, they eliminate the rocker mechanism for vtec to free up valvetrain losses, let the car rev higher (less valvetrain weight) and to have better more stable oil pressure.
either way you look at it vtec is always engaged but it is called vtec KILLER cams because it kills the timing and instead it is engaged through out the RPM range so your right just worded wrong.
Actualy no, variable time lifting know as VTEC is eleminated, the lift that ocours in the camshaft at a vtec honda engine is no more with killer vtec cam´s you are always runnin the lift from low rpm to high rpm but vtec you dont have it
Wrong, VTEC is the variable time lifting wich do not hapen on a killer vtec cam , you run pure racing cam this case the lift used is the same when you engage vtec but theres no lift on the cam at high rpm get it? so you do not have vtec insted a pure racing cam wich i like more.
This car does not have vtec. The usual centre lobes on vtec cams do not exist with toda killers. Therefore is does not have vtec. none of theoriginal vtec components are in use. No solenoid no oil pressure forcing locking pins to lock rocker arms. NO VTEC. what it does have are very large overlap and lift cams. The same as any other non honda DOHC engine with uprated cam shafts.
so i work on honda's on the daily and his honda most definitely has vtec, the toda killer cams engage the vtec at all rpm's...this is why you don't hear the vtec crossover...So to everyone that say's no vtec sound or it doesn't have VTEC,wrong!.... UR HEARING IT ALL THE TIME B/C IT"S ALWAYS ENGAGED!!
Hey man, Great video. Very nice rev matchs on the heel and toe's (not jerky at all) Great corner entries and apex's. Car sounds great!! VTEC Killers + ITB's = INSANE!!! How much is your setup putting down??
There is no vtec in this car, he has Toda VTEC killer cams. You wont hear any engagement lol!! It's not always in vtec if anyone says so.... Understand what vtec is before you comment.
Nice
