@arjean0110 there is also MuseScore- I have this, it might be a little tricky to get used to, but it is free and it offers a few things that finale cannot; like unlimited staves, better page layout, a more organized notation format... etc.
Click on the Articulation Tool (an accent sign). Then click on the note where you want the fermata or pause. A selection box of articulations appears, including the fermata. Select it. If you play your file, you will find that the fermata actually works!
hey I have finale notepad 2007 free version and I've been writing original pieces, I was wondering how do you write notes in red like it looks in the video.
can you please tell me how to change key signatures in the middle of the peice without messing up the key at the beggining? sorry if you say how to do it in the video, my computor is really slow today and i just cant wat any longer. please respond.
How did you get the "Go Back To Measure" things to work with it? I have 2008 and not even the repeat signs will actually work. It just skips over them :S
Yeah, unfortunately the repeats in NotePad are graphical only, they dont actually play as repeats. I made this file in the full (expensive) Finale 06 which you can do all kind of complicated playing directions. The only advantage of NotePad 06 over 08 or later is that you can paste different staff styles (eg TAB)over music.
I just designed them, printed and laminated them. I find they are very useful for helping explain scales, chords, key signatures, transposing, ear training, improvisation ...

So this program lets you create your own music sheet, add notations and prints it, instead of printing music sheet and writing the notations by hand?
